Friday 3:00 pm
11:00 pm.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

handling full carton stock to fill customer orders or replenish inventory.
moving full pallet inventory to and from specified areas

Essential abilities include:

good verbal and written communication skills
ability to maintain good overall safety and attendance record
work well in a team-orientated environment
Must adhere to all established safety and precaution measures. The Health and Safety of all our employees is critical.
Must be flexible and cross-trained in other areas to assist with work in other deaprtments based on business needs

VIEW JOBS Extrusion Operation SupervisorCrawfordsville, INSpartech, LLC is looking for an Extrusion Supervisor to join our team in Crawfordsville, IN.The Crawfordsville operation of the organization specializes in extruding and converting flat plastic sheet. We have eleven plastic extrusion lines producing 125,000lbs of plastic sheet a week! Plastic sheet is sold flat in a multitude of colors or can be converted into other items you might recognize such as license plates, grade, middle, and high school as well as college, school specific date book covers, custom binders or folders, pet collars (used by vets following surgery or injury), packaging, or signage. We can digitally print on plastic, screen print on plastic, die cut, flat cut, add items such as Velcro, labels, assemble and pack. We also reuse our scrap plastic whenever possible to create our environmentally friendly products. General Summary and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervises the activities of assigned hourly production associates in our Extrusion Department to ensure adequate, efficient production levels while maintaining the quality customers expect and scheduled ship dates while promoting and ensuring a safe working environment. This is a primarily day shift position, with some flexibility as needed to shift hours.Key Responsibilities to include:<ul><li>Interviews, hires, promotes, trains, evaluates, and disciplines subordinates in accordance with established rules and regulations.</li><li>Continually monitors plant conditions and associate actions for compliance to established safety regulations and takes immediate corrective action when necessary. Investigates accidents and prepare necessary reports.</li><li>Responsible for following all established company rules.</li><li>Executing the business plan and reacting to changing conditions. Recommending and implementing corrective actions in problem areas.</li><li>Maintains records and submits reports relating to manpower, material, maintenance, quality, schedules, and safety. Recommends corrective action.</li><li>Ensuring a good system of controls that identifies and reduces scrap and repairs.</li><li>Conducting regular shift/department meetings, issuing minutes, and following up on action items.</li><li>Participating in the development and achievement of cost improvements.</li><li>Determining capital needs associated with operations, maintenance and technology improvement and participating in the acquisition of such items.</li><li>Maintaining working knowledge of equipment and processes while remaining current on technological advances in area of responsibility.</li><li>Overseeing the routine preventive maintenance and requesting repairs as needed to ensure equipment is maintained in a proper manner.</li><li>Reviews and corrects production associates’ hours for timekeeping.</li><li>Ensures that attendance issues are reported and handled in accordance with the attendance policy.</li><li>Maintains good housekeeping, safety, and industrial hygiene practices.</li></ul>RequirementsRequired Skills/Experience:<ul><li>High School diploma or GED equivalency, plus five (5) years in a manufacturing environment or a four (4) year college degree</li><li>Knowledge of manufacturing production methods, quality assurance techniques and general safety programs is recommended.</li><li>Plastics manufacturing experience is preferred.</li><li>Two (2) years supervisory experience.</li><li>Ability to tolerate a hot environment is required.
