POSITION SUMMARY: It is the responsibility of this role to safely move material within the warehouse and safely stage, load, and unload product from trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all established safety procedures in plant and warehouse.

  • Ensure that forklift is in proper, safe working order and report any issues to supervisor or team lead.

  • Safely use forklift to transport and stage product in accordance with established procedures.

  • Safely transfer product from one pallet/tray to another as required.

  • Safely use forklift to load/unload product into/out of trailers in accordance with established procedures.

  • Properly and consistently use proper scanning scripts for all movement of product.

  • Competently utilize JDE system for all paperwork and inventory management.

  • Correctly select pallet sizes for customers and ensure pallets are kept in the correct location.

  • Communicate effectively with team members electronically, by phone, and in person.

  • Perform any other duty as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Valid Forklift Certification (Will be provided by the company.)

  • Previous forklift experience.

  • Basic knowledge of inventory systems.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Must be able to read and complete various forms in writing and on the computer.
