To remove product from the production line, inspect it to customer's specifications and pack into designated cartons, move and wrap skids, weighing and moving scrap and raw materials from one location to another and assisting the Operators to get the lines ready for production. Check the lines to forecast supplies for future orders and have supplies ready for changeovers.
Review production order and determine that correct packing materials are available at the line
takes the appropriate corrugated boxes and other materials to the packers so they can complete their job
Removes finished product from winders and places it on scales to verify weight
Places items in designated cartons as per production order specifications
Takes the wrapped product to the staging area
High school diploma or equivalent or previous manufacturing experience
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
Ability to do functional math; i.e. adding, subtracting, multiplying and division with a handheld calculator. Accurately read a tape measure.
Operation of the forklift and lifting equipment are essential to job responsibilities.
