Position Summary

Perform duties to unload, move and store materials, supplies and equipment and pull orders from finished goods inventory and prepare for shipping.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Work from packing list, shipping orders, and written and verbal instructions.

• Unload incoming materials, check identification, report shortages or damages; move to storage area for first in, first out use

• Pull orders from finished goods, shrink wrap or band skids and load onto trucks.

• Label outgoing skids: scan to upload into computer; prepare labels for UPS; prepare shipping documents.

• Maintain flow of work to prevent lack of or excessive accumulation of material and product.

• Maintain aisles and storage areas for east of movement; arrange pallet storage area.

• Use lift equipment as necessary to move and position parts and materials; use care to lift and balance load properly.

• Operate all equipment in safe manner.

• Exercise proper case in the use of tools, equipment, and materials.

• Detect and report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision.

• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain the work area in a net and orderly condition.

• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

Experience and Education

• High school diploma or GED

• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs

• Standing and walking throughout shift

• Must be quality and time conscious.

• Must be able to work independently.

• Must be able to work overtime.

• Must be able to perform in a multi-task environment.

• Must have basic computer skills (PC/Windows system)

• Shipping/receiving experience is a plus.
