PURPOSE/SCOPE:
This person will perform Material Handling duties that pertain to logistics functions to ensure the flow and tracking of parts.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Handling:
Coordinate activity including receiving, shipping and follow-up, including Packslip Receiving Data Entry.
Unload/Load trucks and logically and systematically place parts into logistics area.
Verify pack slips match parts for proper amounts received.
Enter all Receiving packslips into the computer system.
Weigh-count all OSP out-going parts and prepare shipping paperwork as needed.
Ensure that out-going parts are distributed to OSP's in an on-time and efficient manner.
Distribute parts to various depts. per the routings and flow tags, once released by Receiving Inspection.
Identify and label all incoming Warehouse and WIP Material and properly place into inventory as required.
Maintain OP79 packaging report, performing regularly scheduled physical WIP inventories.
Actively participate with Sales, Customer Service, Production Control, and Warehouse personnel in order to meet customer demands.
Maintain and enforce strict compliance to all safety procedures including utilizing proper hi-lo driving techniques and keeping all traffic areas free of pallets and debris, etc.
Maintain a continuing awareness of cost-reduction possibilities company-wide and submit to Holland Logistics Manager.
Assist in the training of new employees.
Establish and maintain a "packaging standards" file, arranged by Trans-Matic part number, detailing explicit parameters and customer requirements.
Provide full logistical information on all finished goods using bar code equipment.
Maintain organization of all areas within the department.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of computer.
Flexible and tolerant of change.
Displays a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
Is able to work independently and as an effective problem solver.
Strong organizational skills.
Able to drive a hi-lo.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of warehouse experience.
Experience with weigh counting.
REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL & BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:
Detail-oriented, number-oriented, and possesses a keen sense of accuracy.
Is regarded as self-motivated and versatile.
