Job Summary:

The Material Expeditor will plan, coordinate and monitor the flow of assembly materials in accordance

to the production schedule. The position involves continuous monitoring of production and delivery

schedules, compiling materials and work progress reports, confirming inventory status to address

potential shortages and interface production, quality, purchasing, accounting to resolve material related

problems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Purchase materials in compliance with project/client/company requirements.

• Maintain documentation on all purchase orders.

• Facilitate materials deliveries per deadlines.

• Reconcile materials deliveries with purchase orders.

• Coordinate with the supply chain department on production needs.

• Investigate and resolve material issues.

• Develop vendor relations.

• Follow direction of Material Management Manager.

• Adhere to company policies & procedure.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Intermediate in the use of Excel and SAP.

• Able to work in a very fast pace environment.

• Able to work in an industrial environment.

• Able to be firm with vendors and suppliers.

• Prior experience in expediting material (1 to 3 years minimum).

• Able to speak, read and write in English.

• Bilingual in Spanish (Required to complete work duties).

• Prior experience expediting material from outside the US.

• Extremely organized and detailed oriented.

• Able to work overtime, Weekends and holidays (If necessary).

• Self‐motivated and thriving in challenging environments.

• Able to work in a multi‐cultural environment.

• Understanding and open minded.

• Mature and professional.

Education and Experience:

• Recent Mechanical Engineering Graduate with 2‐3 years of experience or Experienced Expeditor

preferred.

• BA/BS degree in business, supply chain, mechanical engineering preferred.

• Working knowledge and understanding of EERP/MRP systems and their us in manufacturing

environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

• Work in both air‐conditioned office environment and non‐air‐conditioned plant environment.
