Material Control Specialist

AMI is a leading supplier of integrated electromechanical assemblies to commercial and military prime contractors. The company designs equipment to meet client specifications and manufactures high-precision components to produce high-quality assemblies. Products include special purpose instruments, maritime vessel control panels, power supply and distribution assemblies, and surface vehicle and power generating plant control assemblies.
You will demonstrate success by:
Performing receiving, shipping, and kitting functions, as a Material Handler (Kitter), while interacting with various departments within L3
Working as a team with a Production Planner to complete product per schedule, within budget and must be expedient with attention to detail
Utilizing strong communication skills effectively interfacing with other departments and management
Working from oral & written instructions with proficient skills related to a computerized inventory system, and Windows based programs

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform in and contribute to a team environment with good inter-personal skills is necessary
Capable to use problem-solving skills related to basic problems that effect inventory status in kitting, shipping and receiving
Knowledge of packaging procedures, materials, and inventory used in packaging and/or handling of finished goods
Ability to use good judgment in making decisions related to priority, packaging and material handling
Able to safely operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and fork lifts
Basic expediting inventory control experience is preferred
Must have basic computer skills including Windows based programs such as Word and Excel, and experience with an ERP system is helpful
Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
