The Collins Aerospace Miami Gardens location is looking for a Materials Associate V Working Lead to join their team. This position is responsible for conducting all process operations within the Operations Support function, while also partnering with the department supervisor to coordinate resources, training, communication, process controls, and ad hoc requirements as necessary. This role will routinely interface with other functions, both internal and external to the facility.
This position will be working in an Onsite capacity.
This position is not eligible for relocation

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing working support of the Operations Support team across all processes
Responsible for providing guidance and direction to the employees who support each process, both physically and administratively
Ensures team targets and goals are established and achieved
Allocate and train resources as required to achieve department success
Support daily Real Time Problem Resolution (RTPR) by identifying and assisting to solve day-to-day concerns
Participate in and drive Continuous Improvement activities
Champion the organization's culture and communicate vision and goals regularly
Ensure team conformance to Business Unit policies and procedures
Actively support compliance with EH&S policies and regulatory requirements
Work collaboratively to coordinate operations and activities between supporting departments
Safe and responsible operation of hand tools and Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs)
Monitor and maintain email communications, ensuring professionalism and accountability
Provide oversight and accountability to Component Defect Report (CDR) process
Receives, checks. stores, issues, and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means to load, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material.
Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.
Processes purchase orders for spare tooling and materials.
Proficiently uses computer hardware/software.
Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packing equipment, records calibration logs of tools and equipment.
Performs operator preventative maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance.
Oversees inventory and maintains all government tooling property according to military regulations.
Maintains contacts with personnel from various customer and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices.
Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
Performs related duties and required within the scope of this job function
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
HS diploma and a minimum of 6 years of logistics or related experience.
Current or previous inventory management experience, working with management systems and overseeing inventory.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Current or previous experience as a lead or backup lead in logistics.
Current or previous operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (forklifts, power pallet jacks, etc.).
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to utilize computer systems SAP, to input & retrieve information
Highly responsive to internal and external customer requirements with a strong attention to detail
Solid technical writing skills and a strong work ethic with demonstrated leadership, business judgment and innovation
Stress tolerant to a fast paced, results oriented environment
Have strong oral and written communication
Able to interpret regulatory and customer requirements
