Volt is immediately hiring a Mastercam CNC Programmer in Hawthorne, CA! This successful candidate has 5+ years of programming experience specific to the aerospace and/or medical device manufacturing industry.
As a Mastercam CNC Programmer you will:
Interpret project blueprints, design the programs, set up, AND operate the machines for production.
Write CNC programs in Mastercam to produce accurate and high-quality parts.
Create, load, edit and store CNC programs.
Perform basic and complex set ups of machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
Produce machined components and products on both CNC and manual machine shop equipment.
Reduce production failures and improve yields.
Maintain time standards, production schedule and quality.
Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, sawing, and sanding tasks.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts.
Perform final operations including de-burring, cleaning, and inspecting parts.
This is a DIRECT HIRE, Full-Time opportunity.
Schedule: (M-F) 1st Shift - 5AM Start (50-55 hours a week is expected)
Compensation: $35-45/Hr.
The ideal candidate will have:
EXPERIENCED Mastercam Programmer (MUST HAVE 5+ years of experience)
3,3+2 and 5 axis CNC Programmer that has strong knowledge and experience in machining, setup, and can interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to setup AND operate 3-axis, 4-axis horizonal/or 5-axis mills
Prior machining experience (3+ years of experience)
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to function with minimum supervision
