We have a rare opportunity for a hardworking Master Technician to work with our Compression Systems Engineering team in Middletown, CT.
This position will provide you the opportunity to work on various part families within the Military engine programs. You will provide support on a variety of engineering tasks within the Design/Drafting group.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Building complex parametric 3D models, drawings and related data files to Design intent and Product Definition standard work
Using UGS NX graphics software and airfoil related tools/software, specifically for complex airfoils
Understanding and interpreting Geometric Form Control to ASME Y14.5M-1994 standards
Crafting part print release documentation and engineering change release documentation using the UGS Teamcenter software
Producing all part prints to Product Definition standard work, including the application of dimensioning techniques per part family Engineering Standard of Work (ESW) while considering producibility and design intent
Mentoring lower proficiency level practitioners
Associates/Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology
Successful completion of a 3D parametric solid modeling course preferred.
Familiarization with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5M-1994).
Previous airfoil experience
Model Based Definition experience
Ability to build positive relationships and craft clear communication
Demonstration of professional leadership characteristics such as team leading, team building,
Commitment to a Quality Culture (such as Pratt & Whitney's Achieving Competitive Excellence program).
Experience with NX Graphics and Teamcenter
