Position Summary

Responsible for the efficient diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of vehicles along with replacement of general automotive parts and accessories. Partner with store management and the desk team to deliver superior service and education to customers on problems and proposed solutions for their vehicles.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure a thorough safety and mechanical vehicle inspection is completed and documented in the work order system for every car assigned to him/her that comes into the shop. Ability to communicate repairs that are necessary for the safety and operational efficiency of the vehicle to customers and management. Recommends additional repairs and services pertaining to scheduled maintenance, vehicle enhancements, and/or upgrades as appropriate. Adheres to MAP (UICS) standards.

  • Conduct a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs; including but not limited to brakes, all tire related services, including mounting, balancing, and flat repairs, state safety and emissions testing (where required), fluid changes, steering and suspension, maintenance services, starting and charging. Responsible for securing vehicle during repairs and after repairs are completed.

  • Maintain technical capabilities to ensure proficient, safe use of service equipment. Interprets and applies technical instructions in diagram and text form.

  • Maintain company directed productivity, training development plan, and comeback performance levels.

  • Approachable and knowledgeable resource regarding technical matters related to installation and proper application of parts and accessories, while also providing accurate and effective direction, advice and assistance to service advisors, other technicians, commercial, retail and parts associates, management, and customers.

  • Partner with Management to produce a safe and healthy work environment that complies with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as with company policies and procedures. Expected to comply with loss prevention, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Successful completion of Background and Drug tests.

  • 1-2 years of related experience in the automotive service environment.

  • Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts.

  • ASEs required; ASE A1 through A8- Electrical and Engine Performance is strongly preferred; state certifications/licenses where required.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work Days, Nights, Holidays and Weekends.

Practices beginning level therapeutic skills with patients and performs all duties of the Mental Health Technician. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age(s) of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. 1. Performs patient assessment by observing, reporting and charting behavior of assigned patients in accordance with unit procedures. Provides input into the development, implementation and revision of patient treatment plans. Makes rounds of assigned patients to ensure a safe patient environment and to monitor high risk patients. 2. Monitors assigned patients and assists with their care under the direction of the Director, Clinical Nurse Manager or designee. Participates in activities with patients as assigned. Charts progress notes on assigned patients according to policy/procedure as indicated. Provides input to staffing on patients condition. 3. Develops approved communication techniques to interact with patients. 4. Participates in assigned therapeutic programming according to experience and qualifications. 5. Maintains patient confidentiality as prescribed in the Mental Health Code. 6. Assists with the management of aggressive patients in accordance with Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) principles. 7. Assists with or initiates patient resuscitation when necessary under supervision of professional nursing staff. 8. Keeps mental health unit and patient living areas neat and orderly; stocks supplies necessary for patient care. Performs various unit duties as assigned. Conducts regular unit hazard surveillance survey for Performance Improvement. 9. Attends unit inservice meetings. Attends required classroom training sessions and inservices. Maintains CPR certification. Completes annual CPI certification. 10. Adheres to all Northwest Community Hospital standards, policies, and procedures. 1. Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field preferred. 2. Psychiatric unit work experience and demonstrated clinical proficiency preferred. Nurse Aide, orderly, or school clinical practicum experience in a medical or psychiatric setting is preferred. 3. Current CPR and CPI certification. 4. The interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients, families and hospital staff members. 5. The organizational skills necessary to accomplish multiple assignments given simultaneously. 6. The ability to maintain composure in tense, stressful situations. 7. The verbal and written English Skills necessary to clearly and effectively communicate information.
