Basic Job Functions:
Skyline Steel, LLC is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Inventory Coordinator. The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for all areas of inventory tracking. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Schedule work through the plant to optimize long-term profitability
Recording all production entries and material movements into Stratix
Recording inventory adjustments based upon physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and other corrections as deemed appropriate
Allocating inventory to sales orders to maximize inventory turns
Entering and tracking the status of NCRs for the facility: this includes making recommendations to the cost accountant regarding any material cost adjustments that are required
Assisting in locating material for production and shipping as needed.
Organizing and managing inventory cycle counts for the facility: this includes organizing count teams, establishing count areas, defining and communicating the procedures to be used as well as reconciliation of the counts.
Tracking any inventory reconciliations that are performed
Resolving inventory discrepancies and material shortages by determining the reason for the discrepancies and assist in resolution
Determine appropriate inventory stock levels and direct inventory replenishment levels
Ensuring traceability (MTRs) for production material ordered
Tracking finished goods order status.
Coordinating with sales coordinators and commercial team regarding order status and shipping status.
Following and adhere to safety procedures and strictly adhere to facility safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment.

The Inventory Coordinator will be an integral member of the Nucor Skyline leadership team who brings a strong and consistent work ethic and demonstrates a commitment to follow all inventory processes and practices. A successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, be able to work independently as well as in a group, and be willing and able to work off shifts (2nd or 3rd), not to exclude weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or Associates Degree in Business or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Customer Service Experience
Basic IT troubleshooting skills
Experience in inventory management/control
Experience with Salesforce and Stratix
Experience with steel fabrication
