Summary:

The Master Scheduler is able to deal with complex product, systems and tools. The incumbent is able to overview the large projects execution from both high level and detailed perspective. The incumbent is required a good level of understanding of hydro power plants and is able to understand the sequence of parts in engineering, manufacturing and site erection.

The Master Scheduler is able to turn complex problems into simple actions that are easy to be understood and executed without losing traceability to the original problem.

Responsibilities:

  • Key accountable interface with Project Manager to ensure project schedules are prepared, maintained and submitted according to all contractual requirements

  • Key accountable interface with Manager of Integrated planning and Supervisor to ensure projects schedules are prepared, maintained and submitted according to all internal Voith processes and systems requirements

  • Key interface between Project Managers and department head (and/or Directors) to ensure projects schedules are fully up to date according to actual progress achieved

  • Collaborate with department heads (and/or Directors) to identify critical path activities and potential bottleneck situations. Provide early warnings using Earned Value Analysis, Float Consumption Management and Capacity Planning

  • Prepare schedules for projects in the bidding phase in coordination with Department Head (and/or Directors)

  • Regularly maintain systems to ensure quality of data. Involve all the areas needed to clear exception messages, perform on time confirmation and provide status

  • Support Project Managers with customer reports, presentations and meetings related to scheduling and delivery performance

  • Critically review a schedule and apply concepts of resource loading, cost loading, critical path, fast track and crashing to get an optimal time schedule

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering . Masters Degree (preferred)

  • 2 years experience in project scheduling and/or project management

  • Project and/or construction scheduling experience

  • Project and/or proposal management experience

  • Production planning experience in custom manufactured products (preferred)

  • PERT/CPM, EVM, Float Management, Capacity Planning, Fast Tracking, Crashing

  • Advanced user qualifications in Primavera (P6), resource loading, cost loading, baseline, claim digger, progress tracking

  • Advanced user qualification in SAP PP, PS, MM, MRP

Working closely with Program Managers, Control Account Managers, and Work Package Managers (WPMs), the Master Scheduler documents the tasks necessary for successful program execution. In partnership with the Program Finance team, the Master Scheduler communicates schedule status and performance to date to the program team as well as makes predictions about future performance. This position is a senior level and requires experience. Responsibilities of a Senior Master Scheduler include performing and leading the following: * Developing compliant program schedules constructed with the necessary level of detail and logic such that the schedule is a valuable program management tool. * Horizontal and vertical integration of program plans and schedules across company functional groups including finance, engineering, procurement, operations, manufacturing, and quality. * Preparing regular Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) updates and reports for program management, customers, and/or business management personnel. * Monitoring progress against scheduled activities and identifying performance variances to facilitate focus on critical areas as well as developing and implementing work-around or recovery plans. * Analyzing schedules including critical & driving paths and risk & opportunity in compliance with Combat Vehicles, customer, and industry requirements. * Timely preparation and submission of contract deliverables related to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Integrated Master Plan (IMP). * Ensuring that all schedules and contract deliverables are fully compliant with internal policies, customer, and industry requirements.
