Master Scheduler

The Scheduler establishes the master production schedule in alignment with the demand plan as their primary job responsibility. This position will create the production schedule daily, weekly, monthly for Lawn and Garden. In addition, this position will work closely with the buyers/planners to maintain open communication son any condition that may affect excess or shortages of materials for production.

What You Need to Know:

• Maintain a 24 month rolling forecast into a detailed master production schedule with a 2 week frozen schedule and 4 week slushy.

• Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels with buyer-planners.

• Review/Coordinates with Plant Manager and Production Manager for staffing constraints.

• Propose changes to the production schedule when needed.

• Identify and drive continuous process improvements, strives to improve efficiency, likely to challenge processes where favorable alternatives may be available.

• Stay abreast of technology and engage in applicable technical training and professional development programs.

• Understand manufacturing processes, machine run rates and staffing variables.

• Supervises sub-assembly scheduler(s) and performs annual review.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 5 + years Supply Chain experience

• In depth knowledge of ERP and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) systems required.

• Demonstrated understanding of supply chain planning and scheduling processes and practices

• Demonstrated ability to recommend solutions and strategies and implement changes

• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently and be self-directed in completing tasks.

• Adept problem solving and effective decision making skills

• Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.

• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, to include the ability to develop high quality working relationships.

• Strong written/verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate a message both professionally and concisely.

• Ability to be flexible and adaptive to internal processes and change, delays or unexpected events.

• Advanced computer skills, to include but not limited to MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated aptitude to quickly master proprietary software.

• Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends, if needed to support a global company.

• APICS CPIM -CSCP or IBF-CPF or ISM-CPM certification preferred
