The Master Scheduler (U) executes all assigned physician and ancillary scheduling requests to ensure daily efficient operations. Under the direction of the practice manager the scheduling coordinator is responsible for the scheduling of elective procedures for patient seen in the outpatient clinic by utilizing knowledge of the physical environment, surgical instrumentation and/or equipment, staff and physician's preferences to schedule cases.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintains daily schedule changes in a timely manner.

• Monitors cancellations of physician clinic schedules and follows up with the assigned scheduling provider.

• Schedules and reschedules appointments based on the online bump list and in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Performs quality checks on assigned facility schedules and reports any under-booking or overbooking to management.

• Prepares runner log for assigned clinic dates.

• Keeps track of patients during clinic visit and monitors their progress while undergoing testing or in consultation.

• Communicates any issues to management and actively participates in any corrective activities. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

• General knowledge of office procedures and operations.

• Skill in data entry with minimal errors.

• Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence

• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
