The Master Scheduler reports to the Supply Chain Group Leader.
This role has primary responsibility for all tasks associated with the development and maintenance of the Master Schedule, Rough Cut Capacity Plan and the overall site demand/forecast. Using a variety of tools, the Master Scheduler will work to level load the production schedule to ensure that the production plan and forecast will be met.
The Master Scheduler role is critical to our patients. Creating and developing a master schedule for all R&D and Operations Staff while maintaining budgetary and client obligations and keeping patient safety in mind makes this candidate crucial to the business. Quality, safety and on-time delivery is a must to be successful in this role!
Our Somerset location is the corporate headquarters for Catalent Pharma Solutions. This location houses our state-of-the-art laboratory, clinical, commercial manufacturing plant for oral dose forms in addition to being the Center of Excellence for Highly Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
Creation and modification of the Master Schedule.
Lead scheduling meetings and provides direction to R&D and Operations staff regarding Firm Schedule.
Facilitates the collection of data and loading of the monthly forecasts.
Oversee the line personnel calculation requirement to support the production schedule.
Works with the Supply Chain Management to review and revise rough cut capacity requirements.
Drive the S&OP monthly process and facilitate the monthly Operations review.
Participate and drive all pre-execution activities as they relate to scheduling requirements (QC, Documentation, WH, Procurement, etc.)
Work with Operations, Client Service Leaders, Buyers, and Projects Managers to schedule capacity, equipment and line personnel.
Identifies and communicates scheduling conflicts to the BU and Supply Chain Management to obtain resolutions. Communicates decisions to the individual teams affected by the schedule changes.
Creation and modification of schedule to support raw material planning, warehousing etc.
Creating and modification of shift specific short-term production schedules.
Minimum B.S. degree in related field
5 plus years or equivalent previous Scheduling/Planning experience preferred.
Previous experience in a discrete manufacturing, job shop environment a plus.
APICS Certification a plus.
Must be proficient with PC including Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge and experience of cGMP.
Process validation and Buffer Management experience a plus.
Working knowledge of Finite Planning techniques or systems a plus.
Knowledge of JD Edwards or SAP preferred.
