Job Description:

Summary:

Responsible for scheduling plant operations to meet customer order timing while enhancing plant efficiency and meeting inventory goals. Apply Allison Sales and Operations Planning process to effectively forecast material.

Responsibilities:

• Create Sales and Operations plans to schedule plant operations and meet sales demand forecast.

• Use SAP to plan material at the transmission group level to assure availability to meet production schedules and optimize inventory.

• Work with Sales Order Administration daily to evaluate changes in customer demand.

• Facilitate floor operations and removes barriers for operations to meet measurable objectives.

• Create Final Assembly Schedules to meet customer demand timing.

• Resolve scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information; coordinating solutions.

Competencies:

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• High level of interpersonal skills to work optimally with others.

• High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.

• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong computer skills, especially Excel.

• Knowledge / experience with planning and scheduling in an ERP system, preferably SAP.

• Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control systems and manufacturing processes.

Experience:

• 3+ years' experience in similar role. Internship experience considered.

Qualifications:

• College degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field.
