Works under general supervision installing, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing and testing electrical equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy for all purposes on company premises. This position is eligible to serve on the "on-call" crew and be "on-call" for maintenance duties including snow and ice removal.
Install, repair, and troubleshoot solid state electronic equipment, programmable logic controllers, and CNC machinery. Program PLC's to correct equipment problems.
Knowledge of ladder logic and familiarity with industrial networking. Understands basic programming languages.
Install, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical equipment, including but not limited to, generators, transformers, circuit breakers and distribution switchgear, motors, lighting fixtures, all types of controllers, electric heating units, conduit, and distribution systems.
Support manufacturing as needed including but not limited to assisting with running equipment in the 600 building, training operators and other electricians.
Assist in design and specification of components for new equipment purchases and/or construction.
Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex equipment problems utilizing schematics, diagrams, manufacturer's manuals or similar documents.
Calibrate and repair temperature controllers, timers, and other types of control systems.
Complete preventive maintenance work orders, calibration documents, and other related documents.
Be familiar with fluid power systems, i.e. hydraulic and pneumatic power and related control systems.
Maintain schematics and diagrams for production and facilities equipment according to appropriate document control procedures.
Assist Supervisor in maintaining proper spare parts and electrical materials to ensure 24 hour/7 day operation of production operations and general facility.
Complete all work according to National Electrical Code with regard to safety of all associates. Utilize proper lockout/tagout procedures when applicable.
Assist Pa Coordinator with addition of new equipment to PM system and proper PM practices.
Serves on the "on-call" maintenance crew who rotates weekly on-call maintenance responsibilities including buildings and grounds maintenance including snow and ice removal.
Other Duties may be assigned
Must have the ability to work overtime and weekend shifts assigned
