POSITION: 1 - Master Electrician DEPARTMENT: Facilities LOCATION : New Bedford, MA STARTING RATE OF PAY: $60.23 CURRENTLY POSTED HOURS: 7:00AM- 3:30PM SCHEDULE:

M-F \Union Represented Position\ REMARKS: The Incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and installation work of moderate scope on lighting, electrical, communications, data and electromechanical systems associated with building power systems, HVAC Systems , and other control systems. Performs other non-electrical work within the department as required.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES : Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment, communication devises using hand tools and electrical testing instruments Isolates defects in wiring, switches, electromechanical systems, corrects trouble and restores electrical service on any size or type of secondary installation by jumper, reconnection, replacement of fuses. Replaces faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems. Inspects equipment and diagnosis trouble.

Works on live and unprotected wires as necessary. Oversees the electrical work performed by others in Facilities and insures that work conforms with local building and safety codes. Performs duties of a Mechanic - Building Maintenance as required.

Applies for electrical permits for the Company as required and complies with all applicable codes. Directs and instructs employees of same or lower rating. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1.

Must possess and maintain a Massachusetts Master Electrician's License and a Massachusetts's Driver's License. 2. Must possess an aptitude for electrical and electromechanical systems; specifically industrial and commercial systems. The salary for this position is $60.23 hourly and progresses in accordance with the union contract.
