We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Master Data team as a Master Data Specialist who will assist in the day-to-day activities and various responsibilities pertaining to supplier master data within the organization. On a daily basis, this position will interact directly with suppliers and employees to ensure compliance of the Global Procurement Policy and country specific laws. The candidate will use multiple web-based systems to accurately create, maintain and validate supplier master data in a timely basis for our North America region.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years' experience in a fast-paced environment. The ability to meet deadlines and flexibility in handling changing priorities are essential to be successful in this position.
This role resides in the Master Data team based in Draper, Utah.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review all vendor creations and additions and ensure all validation steps have been completed
Perform root-cause analysis on master data integration problems. Recommend and execute corrective action
Assist manager in the overall governance of master data creation and maintenance to ensure consistency across the organization for all Vendor Master and Reference data
Assist manager in cross-functional efforts to implement initial data set-up or mass data creation
Assist manager in the governance of change requests to MDM components and policies. Review Vendor Master Data requests to ensure high quality data is available to execute Global Procure-To-Pay business processes.
Assist manager with constant improvement in the quality and accuracy of the master data to ensure uninterrupted business continuity
Audit data quality of all master and reference data across all locations and coordinate resulting data cleansing activities
Develop and maintain solid working relationships with purchasing, operations, and financial organization to resolve vendor related issues that impact various departments/functions
Ensures SOX Controls, Finance Policies, Documented Procedures are enforced.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business preferred or equivalent experience
Evidence of exceptional ability
Experience with ERP systems; AX Dynamics experience preferred.
2+ years' direct experience in Master Data Governance role a plus
Able to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change.
Able to work well with others in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with knowledge of Excel.
Effective communication skills and customer service approach.
Action-oriented, solution-driven, and able to work in a fast pace environment.
Highly accurate and detail-oriented.
