The Data Solutions Master Data Specialist is responsible for the creation and maintenance of Master Data that are fundamental to business processes that touch and influence the customer experience. Relevant systems and processes include, but are not limited to, ERP, PIM, DAM, and MDM/Data Quality systems. This position will work closely with both Business Process Key Users and everyday users of these systems to execute data creation and maintenance processes to meet the expected service and quality levels.


  • Master Data creation and maintenance:

  • Collect and validate data identified on requests for creation and maintenance

  • Process, update, and distribute newly created materials, data records, and results

  • Seek a high degree of accuracy and efficiency with master data requests; process requests in accordance with current master data standards and processes

  • Share suggestions for process improvement and effective enhancements in support of an enhanced customer experience

  • Project / Launch support:

  • Support ad hoc efforts to mass create or change master data in support of new product launches, business process changes, or other project work

  • Process mass changes utilizing master data procedures

  • Help to identify data cleansing opportunities and take initiative to correct data quality problems

  • Balance the incoming queue of new requests with unplanned needs to support Project and Launch deadlines

  • Data Quality:

  • Run requested data quality and data analysis requests or reports in support of customers, both internal and external

  • Participate in testing and development of new tools and reports in support of data quality

  • Identify and escalate any trends and patterns with data requests or integrity

REQUIREMENTS (to include educational requirements):

  • Associate's degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management or Logistics with 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or a business environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1-2 years of ERP Master Data creation with a focus on Material/Item Masters

  • Experience working within SAP strongly preferred

  • Ability to collect, organize, process, and disseminate significant numbers of requests and transactions in an enterprise level master data systems

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Customer focused with an emphasis on clear communication

  • Adapt easily to changing environments and system enhancements

  • Microsoft Excel and office suite required

  • Day to day use and familiarity with databases and database processes preferred. Use of Sharepoint Lists and Forms (or similar workflow to data field systems) a plus!

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for supporting the GLOBE Vendor Life Cycle for the Operating Companies in the US, as well as provide representation for the US to the global Vendor Master Data team. This position will function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for advice, guidance and the rapid response to requests from business users and offshore teams and will provide decision support to management to develop, track, and evaluate process effectiveness. This position will partner with the global Center of Scale (CoS) to ensure vendor requests are processed accurately and timely based on the agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Analyze and make recommendations to the CoS for vendor request resolution through validation of data standards, documents, and requirements; escalate and communicate with vendor contacts to obtain validation for critical data changes as needed * Monitor performance of CoS against vendor master SLA requirements, and escalate as appropriate * Evaluate vendor management system to ensure open or aged requests are properly closed out * Analyze escalated CoS requests and provide guidance to the CoS team, including parked invoices from Accounts Payable * Lead and oversee projects related to data cleansing, including routine deactivations of vendors, vendor deletions, and other types of mass data changes * Serve as SME for CoS, business users, and other stakeholders with inquiries, questions, and issue resolution * Complete analysis of service tickets to determine resolution, and provide resolution to stakeholders * Compile monthly reports to help monitor KPIs and compliance requirements, supporting stakeholders as needed * Participate in continuous improvement activities using Nestlé Continuous Excellence methodology, partnering with global CoS team as necessary * Other duties as assigned SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Minimal SUPERVISION GIVEN: None FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT: This position ensures validity of master data to promote overall payment accuracy and payment of vendors. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
