Massage Therapist - Outpatient Services

The Mary T Family of Companies is seeking a Massage Therapist to join our Outpatient Therapy and Wellness Center located in Coon Rapids, MN.

As a complementary service within the Mary T. Outpatient Therapy and Wellness Center, this position is responsible for providing relaxation through soft tissue manipulation while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience for clients. We are looking for a massage therapist who is passionate about promoting a holistic approach to personal wellness. Ideal candidates will be competent in a variety of massage services that help reduce pain and stress, such as

• Acupressure

• Craniosacral

• Cupping

• Deep Tissue

• Hot Stone

• Myofascial Release

• Reflexology

• Reiki

• Prenatal

• Swedish

Job Duties include:

• Perform 30-90-minute massages to clients by appointment.

• Turn over the room between clients.

• Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions.

• Evaluate, advise, and listen to clients during appointments.

• Simple documentation of service provided.

• Communication with the outpatient therapy team to coordinate scheduling when needed.

Schedule/Hours:

Part-time, approximately 20 per week; work days are flexible

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Certificate of massage therapy from an accredited school of massage

Certification/Licensure:

Certificate of massage therapy. Valid driver's license.

Experience:

• Experience working with the aging population

• Work independently with a team approach

• Ability to perceive client wishes and needs through spoken language, body language and other cues to modify treatments accordingly

• Competency in a variety of massage techniques and body services such as Acupressure, Craniosacral, Cupping, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Reiki, Prenatal, Swedish

• Basic computer skills
