As a massage therapist at Massage Envy South Park, essential duties include performing professional quality massage within scope of practice and licensing and in alignment with policies and protocols, utilizing approved modalities, in accordance with applicable law in your franchised location, designing specific sessions based on member's/guest's individual needs, and upholding the Massage Envy brand's core values of optimism, gratitude, excellence, consistency and empathy.

What it Takes to Succeed

  • Current PA license

  • Knowledge of and experience in performing various massage modalities

The candidate will work variable shifts, Monday - Friday. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we invite you to apply! Purpose: Provides physical therapy assessment and treatment using advanced clinical skills in a specialty area of physical therapy for patients referred to non-contracted and contracted facilities of Centers for Rehab Services. Serves as a clinical resource for other staff members. May have an individual agreement with an academic institution for instructional services. Participates in research conducted within Centers for Rehab Services. Responsibilities: * Assists Team Leader(s)/Assistant Facility Director(s), Facility Director, or Program Coordinator in performance review process. * Attends and actively participates in staff meetings and in-service education programs. * Communicates patient's status to the referring physician and other health care team members. * Completes necessary charge and statistical information to accurately reflect the service rendered to the patient. * Maintains professional license/registration through steady pursuit and participation in appropriate continuing education and professional development opportunities to satisfy requirements for licensure/registation renewal. * Maintains written documentation for all physical therapy services rendered including documentation of initial assessment, follow-up visits, and discharge summary consistent with department standards. Co-signs physical therapist assistant documentation biweekly. * May have an instructional agreement with an institution for academic purposes outside the scope of the clinical practice of Centers for Rehab Services. * May serve as Team Leader/Asssitant Facility Director, Facility Director or Program Coordinator in absence of the incumbent. * May serves as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students as well as residents and fellows in a specialty area of physical therapy. * Participates as an instructor in professional or community education programs sponsored by the organization as requested. * Participates in program development. Serves on organizational committees as an active and contributing member as requested. * Performs physical therapy assessment, reassessment and treatment and supervises physical therapist assistants in the treatment of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients referred by a physician to the clinic. Develops plan of care including goals and treatment plan in accordance with physician referral, nature of injury/illness and results of physical therapy assessment. Modifies or adjusts plan of care based on patient's response to treatment and/or changes in patient's status. Works PTAs to adjust patient programs as patient status changes. * Provides verbal and/or written home instructions to patient and/or family members when applicable. * Rotates through selected treatment areas when necessary to facilitate organizational needs. * Schedules patients to achieve and maintain a level of productivity which meets or exceeds the standard established for the facility by the organization while ensuring delivery of quality patient care. * Serves as an educational resource for management of patients with a variety of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular complaints for junior physical therapy staff members. Promotes ongoing staff development through in-services and/or individualized instruction and support. Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) * Minimum of 3 years clinical experience preferred * Demonstrated clinical expertise in a specialty area preferred * Previous clinical teaching experience preferred * Program development experience and ability preferred * Six months experience with Centers for Rehab Services preferred Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Direct Access Physical Therapist (DAPT) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, preferred in outpatient settings.
