Summary

• This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all persons, equipment, and physical property of Mosaic Life Care.

• This position works under the supervision of the Director - Security and the Security Managers and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Duties

• Maintains professional appearance; wears required uniform as provided by the organization.

• Provides security support to House Supervisor in all departments when needed.

• Maintains security in medical buildings campus-wide.

• Monitor/check and maintain all doors on a daily basis.

• Maintain all video equipment and change tape daily.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. GED or HiSET equivalent is required. A minimum of two years college preferred preferably in criminal justice, or Fire Safety and or Post Certified Police Academy required.

• Chauffeurs license or ability to obtain valid chauffeur's driver license within 90 days of hire is required.

Minimum Class E Chauffeurs Driver's License within 90 days of hire is required.

Heart Saver certification within 90 days of hire is required.

Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) within 90 days of hire is required.

HAZMAT Training within 90 days of hire is required.

Must complete the International Association of Hospital Safety and Security basic Security Officer Exam is preferred.

• Two years in a position dealing with the public, preferably in the Law Enforcement, Fire Safety, Military Security, Federal (DHS Department of Homeland Security) is required.
