POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for coordinating all regional outreach, advertising, and networking functions related specifically to representation of the Focus residential, PHP, and IOP treatment programs in Chattanooga, TN. This position includes weekly travel across the Southeast region. This position is responsible for developing a strong referral base, referral retention, and sustaining the admissions goals across all programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Business, Marketing, Psychology, Counseling, Nutrition, Mental Health, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Master's level degree is desirable.

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in healthcare marketing is desirable.

  • Must be an effective communicator and savvy in image and reputation management.

  • Knowledge of core principles in substance use, behavioral health, and eating disorders.

  • Participation and awareness of regional and national professional association and community organizations.

  • Working knowledge of Sales Force software is desirable.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Responsibility for marketing the Focus programs in a way that efficiently meets and exceeds admissions goals.

  • Collaborative participation with Director of Business Development in the generation and implementation of monthly, seasonal, and annual strategic plans, including timely evaluation of measurable results.

  • Develop and implement ways to keep the Focus name and brand top of awareness within designated referral areas.

  • Meet or exceed established goals for both quantity and quality of referrals. Must sustain a minimum of 15-20 face-to-face referral contacts per week, with at least half of that total as new contacts. Additional goals are expected to be met for phone, email, and other forms of contact touchpoints.

  • Input all contacts, outreach activities, and relevant referral notes into Focus' contact database system by the end of each business day, with a maximum 7-day grace period for late entries.

  • Participate in scheduled meetings with the marketing team to support colleagues and to accept duties as assigned by administration.

  • Collaborative participation with the marketing and clinical teams to ensure admissions, ADC, and other marketing goals are met by generating inquiries for all the Focus programs.

  • Maintain collaborative relationships with internal Focus staff to deeply understand the challenges and opportunities faced by the organization, including but not limited to clinical integrity, branding, image management, and reputation management.

  • Ensure all administrative duties are complete, timely and documented, including managing the assigned budget, activities, performance, and communication.

  • Remain current on behavioral healthcare industry developments and assigned state regulations.

  • Work closely with administration to ensure that internal dynamics are congruent and consistent with external branding, image management, and reputation management.

  • This position will be expected to provide support for the admissions team as needed including but not limited to calling healthcare providers and other facilities concerning referrals.

  • Other duties as assigned by administration.

  • Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patients.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel outside the facility for community outreach and public relations/marketing activities.

  • The position involves some direct and indirect patient contact.

  • Should be able to tolerate gradient levels of standing, walking, stooping, and lifting 30 lbs.

  • Has the ability to adjust to increased workloads.

ATTENDANCE/PUNCTUALITY EXPECTATIONS:

  • Is reliable in punctuality and attendance, adhering to facility and departmental policies.

  • Does not demonstrate inappropriate use of benefits.

  • Adheres to policy and time allotted for breaks and meals and returns to work at designated times.

  • Does not experience absences which adversely affect the ability of the department to satisfactorily perform essential job functions.
