As a Marketing Technology Project Manager, you will lead a diverse group of highly skilled front- and back-end developers and application architects who are highly motivated to create robust marketing solutions. This role is made up of one-part technology and one-part integrated marketing expert, which in today's digital world is often one and the same. As such, you should be equally comfortable discussing the website technology stack with the infrastructure team as well as various business requirements and website solutions with marketing teams.
Reporting to the Director of Web Experience, you will be accountable for leading the technology execution and delivery of both strategic and tactical technology solutions for Penn Foster's websites, enrollment applications and other marketing digital platforms. Essential Job Functions:
Accountable for the end-to-end management of key platforms in our Marketing Technology Stack, including Sitecore Experience Manager, SearchStax, Content Management System (Sitecore, Joomla, Hubspot, Wordpress), Lead & Enrollment Application System (EOL), Audience Management Tools, and various back-end system integrations.
Monitor and manage all website key platform upgrades; working with IT on all back-end systems integrations including Cloudflare, Alphatrust, AS400, Anthology, MS Dynamics and Power Platform
Continually monitor and optimize website performance, liaising with the Infrastructure team to troubleshoot website, lead and enrollment issues.
Strive to eliminate marketing and technology silos, improving deployment and optimization of new/existing technologies
Implement best practices for development teams and collaborate with Technology colleagues across Penn Foster to define enterprise standard methodologies
Identify automation opportunities with the goal of increasing productivity and reducing total cost of ownership while improving time to market
Focus on innovation, emerging technologies, and making recommendations on the strategic use of technology
Develop an annual Martech plan with recommendations for integration and deployment of marketing technology/tools for competitive advantage, marketing process automation and improved marketing performance.
Develop, lead and manage a high performing team via influence; engender confidence and followership with a lend of strategic thinking, technical prowess and creativity to mobilize, execute and deliver
Serve as the spokesperson for marketing technology themes within the company, making technical information understandable to the general population, while supporting ideas with robust business cases
Prioritize critical projects based on business and customer needs; work cross-functionally to evaluate, build and improve the integrations of our marketing automation tools with sales, support and analytic tools.
Partner with Marketing and Product teams to understand and capture their business needs
Partner with Experience, Development and Project Management teams to define, design and implement robust solutions for various business stakeholders
Deliver into production agreed Marketing capabilities on time and in budget
Proactively reduce technical debt by implementing service design and code changes
Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues.
Provide strong communication across the technology and business teams, describing issues or roadblocks in a succinct manner while owning timely resolution
Partner with Infrastructure team to identify and respond to all website security breaches.
Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
In partnership with our QA department, ensure quality assurance testing inclusive of unit, systems, integration and regression testing, and support the development of automated test scripts to be used to automate regression testing
In partnership with our compliance and regulatory teams, ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
5+ years of experience in technology management, development or installation, ideally in marketing technology
2+ years directly leading teams working in a matrix environment to accomplish outcomes including P&L
5+ years working with advance platform technologies, particularly in Cloud (PaaS and SaaS) models, SiteCore Experience Platform and other enterprise marketing technology capabilities
Strong depth of expertise in two or more digital marketing channels
Strong project / program management experience is valuable
Must be able to manage multiple projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including listening and ability to explain complex ideas and technologies, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including senior executives
Demonstrated experience defining and delivering a platform and platform strategy that hosts complex, technical, highly-reusable modules/components across several channels
Exceptional digital team builder and developer of direct, indirect, and non-report talent
Solid experience in Agile/DevOps environments
Strategy development experience: strengths in structured and logical thinking, including ability to dissect a problem into an organized approach and form a hypothesis against which to conduct requisite analyses and maintain a high attention to detail
Demonstrated experience gaining alignment across a complex organization to balance delivery of tactical business needs with a platform strategy to maximize reuse and reduce technical debt
Solid understanding of Marketing technology solutions and Marketing data models
An understanding of the principles of data models and how these can be integrated into Marketing technology architectures
Experience with third-party libraries, APIs, and ESB/EDI technologies (Mulesoft, etc.)
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework.
Expert knowledge of Content Management Systems (Sitecore, Joomla) and W3C Web standards.
Great understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Paid Per Click (PPC).
Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
