The Marketing Strategist, Graduate Programs supports marketing efforts to drive graduate programs of LMU's schools and colleges. The Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build awareness of LMU's programs, elevate program reputation, generate qualified prospective student inquiries, and deliver high-impact content to key audiences through a variety of organic and paid media touchpoints. This position collaborates closely with university client partners to drive engagement, enrollment, and overall growth.

Strategy Development, Planning, and Management

  • Serve as graduate marketing lead for assigned university client area. Meets regularly with key client stakeholders in a service-oriented capacity to set predetermined, measurable goals and meet ongoing marketing needs in alignment with university and team strategies and priorities.

  • Stewards the development of sub-brand marketing and positioning strategy, using research to establish sub-brand messaging, personas, and creative direction.

  • Develops comprehensive, data-driven, multichannel media strategies to reach target audiences across organic and paid media, including digital advertising channels, websites, email communications, social media, and print. Works within parameters set forth by client area regarding budget, audiences, and priority programs.

  • Conducts ongoing research on market landscape to stay abreast of industry trends, developments, and best practices. Garners insights from campaign data to inform strategy.

  • Manages graduate marketing activities for client areas and forecasts production and implementation needs by developing and maintaining an annual graduate marketing plan.

Campaign Production, Execution, and Reporting

  • Creates project and creative briefs to facilitate collaboration and communication between teams. Serves as central point-of-contact for area's graduate marketing needs and takes ownership of project management, from start to finish.

  • Produces high-impact content in support of strategy and defined goals. Writes content including, but not limited to: email communications; web pages; print and digital ads; and video scripts. Refers to brand and sub-brand guidelines to ensure alignment with messaging, tone, and voice.

  • Oversees campaign execution, ensuring quality of marketing assets and compliance with brand standards and guidelines. Directly places ads in-house or communicates with approved agencies to traffic paid media.

  • Tracks and measures campaign performance on an ongoing basis, optimizing to increase ROI.

  • Organizes all `content and data into an archive. Utilizes project management software to manage workflow and priorities.

  • Leads development of presentations and report-outs for university leadership and graduate marketing team. Takes data inputs from a variety of sources and synthesizes into cohesive, visually appealing reports.

  • Communicates with the broader graduate marketing team to share learnings and best practices.

  • Perform other related duties.

Requisite Qualifications

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in marketing.

  • Excellent writing skills and ability to tailor messages for specific audiences and placements.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Service-oriented approach to meet ongoing client needs.

  • Collaborative work style with the ability to build and maintain cross-departmental partnerships.

  • Demonstrates sound judgment and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of digital advertising techniques and platforms; experience with paid advertising strongly preferred (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, etc.).

  • Experience with performance measurement and the ability to collect, compile, and draw insights from data.

Reasonable Expected Salary - $80,000 - $82,000. Salary offer commensurate with education and experience.
