Orrick currently has an opening in either our San Francisco or Silicon Valley office for a Marketing Specialist that will support Strategic Partnerships & Events for our technology companies group.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? Under the direction of the senior marketing manager, and in collaboration with our sales team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of strategic business development and marketing initiatives, with a focus on driving event strategies to a high-standard. Responsibilities will include, among others:

  • Taking primary responsibility for planning and facilitating exceptional in-person events

  • Maximizing engagement and manage relationships with key partnerships

  • Implementing ROI tracking & analysis to quickly determine the success of each partnership or event

  • Providing thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication

  • Working successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; manage multiple requests, assess priorities and achieve solutions

  • Communicating effectively with partner-level attorneys, key stakeholders and other professionals via email and phone

  • Performing other marketing and business development related responsibilities to support our tech focused marketing team

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree; 4+ years of experience in event planning, community management, marketing

  • Tech, startup, incubator experience a plus

  • Organized, detail-oriented with strong project management skills and willingness to take initiative

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems and knowledge of social media

  • Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and responsibility

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Must be available to travel domestically and work overtime
