The Marketing Specialist will assist the Marketing Department in driving the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated marketing campaigns and activities. They will interface directly with departments. Campaigns will consist of advertising, online marketing, and public relations activities that aim to generate leads and promote the NFI brand, services, and programs to current and prospective customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own the project management of a wide variety of marketing and communications initiatives

  • Exhibit increased technical proficiency that enhances the completion of deliverables. This includes the creative development (writing, design, programming, etc.) and quality assurance of projects such as presentations, newsletters, collateral pieces, email campaigns, social media, events, and public relations material in compliance with NFI brand standards

  • Coordinate projects and influence stakeholders to obtain internal feedback and approvals

  • Conduct, analyze, and present research on areas including marketing / communication performance, competitive landscape, and industry trends

  • Manage, troubleshoot, and leverage technology including NFI's internal employee app, social listening, email, marketing, and CRM tools

  • Drive the coordination and execution of company activities and events

  • Collaborate with purchasing department and/or vendors to efficiently source and produce quality deliverables that meet budgets and timelines

  • Complete all tasks and special projects as assigned

  • Leverage business acumen and/or in-depth knowledge of NFI business and the supply chain industry to generate and implement strategic recommendations

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and department leadership to assess, identify, and translate specific goals and challenges into marketing / communications initiatives and plans

  • Independently concept and execute multiple projects simultaneously, building project plans and schedules to ensure progress and communicate delivery


  • Bachelor degree required

  • Minimum 2-4 years experience of relevant experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc

  • Intermediate html development skills to build and maintain web properties

  • Comfortable engaging with senior leadership

  • Superior listening and problem solving skills
