Description
SUMMARY: Logan University seeks an enthusiastic, diligent and detailed-oriented Marketing Specialist to join the Marketing + Communications Department. Qualified candidates will work with a team of internal marketing staff who drive compelling and engaging marketing and communication efforts aimed at our target audiences.
Primary duties include supporting University degree programs through marketing and communications efforts, tracking and monitoring efforts used to drive marketing decisions, and helping develop content and collateral with the goal of maintaining the integrity of Logan University.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Work closely with Director of Marketing and Communications as well as Program Directors to create and execute year-long marketing and communications strategies that target prospective students
Research and execute advertising (digital, print, broadcast or other) opportunities to develop campaigns to support each program
Utilize data captured in our database systems to identify specific opportunities in markets or among prospective students
Monitor and measure success of relevant programmatic advertising campaigns and opportunities
Develop ideal student personas based on current enrollment information and relevant consumer preference research
Manage monthly meetings with program directors (create agendas, take notes and manage follow-ups)
Manage inventory of program collateral (brochures, banners, tablecloths, swag, etc.) and provide updates/reordering when needed
Maintain calendar of marketing activities, events/conference, costs for each program
Oversee registration and shipping of event materials to relevant conferences
Assist with the development of copywriting, university video, print, digital graphic design as needed to support marketing activities
Provide support to Marketing & Communications Team on various tasks, projects and programs
Qualifications
COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should possess strong organizational skills, have excellent listening, communication and planning skills, exercise sound judgment and decision making, have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, be detail oriented and have the ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced work environment. Must react well under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality and possess strong customer service skills. Working knowledge of relevant state and federal laws including FERPA, ADA, Title IX, VAWA, etc., is strongly preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field.
Proven 3-5 years of experience working in a marketing role
Excellent analytical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team as well as independently.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Optional: Design experience or working with design programs (Adobe, Canva)
