Marketing Specialist, Interim

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

$74,683.00 - $112,024.00

What You'll Be Doing Under the direction of the Manager, Integrated Marketing, serve as the marketing liaison for branches and provide direction for branch marketing campaigns and organizational projects (including branch openings and relocations). Responsible for developing and implementing promotions and campaigns that support the Credit Union's Member acquisition, awareness, participation (usage), and retention efforts.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for branches for marketing. Remains abreast of new ideas, practices, principals and techniques in integrated marketing and share and implements new practices in campaigns.

  • Develops strong relationships with assigned areas by demonstrating strategic marketing expertise. Contributes to the marketing plans for his or her assigned areas of responsibility. Effectively evaluates new requests, insightfully interpreting their needs.

  • Communicates marketing projects thoroughly and successfully to teammembers through written and oral communication anticipating Member and teammember questions and concerns.

  • Participate in the brainstorm, development and execution of our unified branch marketing strategy of campaigns and promotions to attract new Members and drive participation and awareness in current and new markets.

  • Studies the marketplace, data and competitive marketing to uncover opportunities and generate new ideas.

  • Uses data to develop Member personas and uses journey mapping techniques to understand and improve their experiences. Conduct marketing research and analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and understand the competitive landscape, providing insights for informed decision-making.

  • Responsible for the creation of branch opening and relocation communication strategies, ensuring a strong presence and successful launch in the new location. Partner with branch leadership to establish KPIs ("when the branch is considered 'open'") and communicate targets and strategy to Member Comms & Service Support. Collaborate with Member Comms & Service Support on communication strategy to support overall opening strategy and KPIs. Keep informed of Member Comms & Service Support plans for communications and report on progress to branch partners and stakeholders.

  • Writes and edits copy for integrated marketing materials, demonstrating an ability to capture our brand tone of voice and use technically correct grammar. Writes thoughtful and inspirational briefs to coax on-brand creative from writers and designers.

  • Monitor and analyze campaign results, response and Member feedback to continuously improve campaign performance.

  • Manages the production of strategic marketing campaigns - including, but not limited to, print advertising, out-of-home (OOH), retail point-of-sale (POS), collateral, events, direct mail and email for integrated marketing and Member communications. Plan and oversee the installation of marketing artwork, collateral and equipment (plasmas, video walls) for branch openings and relocations, coordinating with appropriate business units. Brainstorm, plan and execute branch events (grand opening events for new and relocated branches, annual Open Houses, etc.).

  • Manages the production of strategic marketing campaigns - including, but not limited to, print advertising, out-of-home (OOH), retail point-of-sale (POS), collateral, events, direct mail and email for integrated marketing and Member communications.

  • Manages the inventory of marketing collateral by continually monitoring the stock mix and demands and proactively replenishing inventory.

  • Serves as the marketing lead on branch-related organizational projects. Serves as the main point of contact for Branches and Membership Development for marketing support requests.

  • Works with procurement to source promotional items for marketing campaigns and events.

  • Directs internal teams or external vendors/agencies on the execution of assigned campaigns.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and agencies. Obtains competitive bids and estimates from agencies and vendors.

  • Responsibly manage assigned marketing budget. Periodically conducts due diligence audits of print vendor pricing and service levels.

  • Ensures campaigns are thoroughly tested and proofed to guarantee accuracy and quality.

  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • 3-5 years of previous related experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrates expertise in various integrated marketing channels - including, but not limited to, advertising, direct marketing, online advertising, email marketing, search engine marketing, website, merchandising and social media - and uses strategic thinking to recommend the appropriate mix for the marketing objective and target audience.

  • Deeply understands how Members research, learn and ultimately choose their assigned product or service and uses that understanding to compose multichannel campaigns.

  • Develops and manages timelines and displays strong organization and time management skills to handle multiple projects and campaigns at once, on time and within budget.

  • Exhibits strong knowledge of financial services as well as deep understanding of Credit Union products and services and operations.

  • Experience in financial services strongly preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills

  • Excellent project/time management skills

  • Committed to quality

  • Self-motivated

  • Familiarity with AP style

  • Working knowledge of graphic design

  • Working knowledge of website content management systems, email application service providers, social media monitoring tools, and tag management
