Marketing Specialist

Graybar is seeking a Marketing Specialist to own, drive, and execute on high-level marketing events and to create marketing materials. This role will partner with Directors of Sales and other Sales leaders to identify opportunities in which to reach out, educate, and delight Graybar customers. The right candidate may be a former executive assistant or event planner with a keen ability to create professional, high-quality brand materials and events. The right candidate will also utilize social media to build Graybar's brand reputation in California.

This role is more than just party planning (although planning events is a big part of the role), it's about identifying ways to delight both internal and external customers. Graybar's Marketing Specialist will create flyers, handouts, invitations, and other written communications. The right person for this role will take ownership and will consistently identify a variety of ways to get Graybar's brand in front of customers.

Graybar is seeking a proactive, assertive personality who takes ownership to find opportunities, partners with sales leaders, and moves fast when taking action.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and execute large events with multiple vendors.

• Expertise using graphic design programs (i.e. Adobe, Canva, Microsoft office suite) to create marketing materials.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to travel throughout California approximately 25% of time.

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications is preferred.

In this role you will:

• Develop, implement, and track marketing campaigns.

• Create marketing materials and tools for the sales department.

• Collaborate with sales teams and other departments to implement various internal and external communications for the company.

• Analyze and report on the performance and effectiveness of marketing programs.

• Support marketing team activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas.

• Maintain brand standards.

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field; 4+ years experience preferred

• Knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Customer Relationship Management systems (i.e., Salesforce), and content management systems

• Creative skills in design, composition and aesthetics

• Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills

• Excellent analytical skills with ability to perform data analysis and use software to collect, maintain, and analyze data

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and utilize all available resources to find, analyze, and report information upon which to develop plan

• Able to statistically describe and analyze business financial, sales, and operating results and perform trend analysis and recommend optimal course of action

Compensation:

• The expected rate of pay for this position is starting at $30.90 - $41.73 per hour, depending on experience.
