The Marketing Services Specialist is a project management role within the Office of Marketing and College Recruitment. This position serves as daily contact with internal clients and external vendors to ensure client satisfaction and the attainment of marketing goals.
The Specialist serves as a marketing consultant and project manager and is responsible for the successful and timely completion of marketing tactics and campaigns. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills are required.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1.Meets and consults with clients to translate their marketing needs into executable tactics.
2.Supports the creation of communication and promotional plans for assigned customers.
3.Coordinates internal and external resources for production of marketing tactics, including vendor bids for production of print and promotional specialty materials to meet project deadlines.
4.Supports the Director of Marketing Services in planning staff utilization and assignments.
5.Works in tandem with the Creative Services team and other College units to execute projects.
6.Assists the supervisor in overseeing vendor management for print, photography, fulfillment, and other resources.
7.Consistently and dependably attends work, activities and functions as scheduled or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1.Requires strong interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving and multitasking skills.
2.Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
3.Working knowledge of print and media planning, tactical selection, and recommendation.
4.Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively and display a strong service orientation.
5.Ability to negotiate and persuade to maximize business relationship outcomes.
6.Demonstrated relationship-building skills in a cross-functional, collaborative work capacity.
7.Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Office 365 tools.
8.Ability to meet and work with individuals in the entire MCC service area including effectively interacting with various cultures and ethnicities.
9.Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools a plus.
In-house marketing or operations team or agency experience a plus.

Required Qualification
Associate degree in marketing, communication, journalism or related field plus three (3) years related work experience with a demonstrated record of project or account management, working with the public, customer service.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
