This role will be an integral part of the marketing team, helping design, execute and deliver high-impact marketing communications. The ideal candidate will be a marketing effectiveness expert, with phenomenal analytical, communication, project management and presentation skills. We're seeking a Marketing Researcher to develop a vision and strategy to support cross-channel marketing effectiveness, partnering deeply with Leadership in Communications Planning, Data Analytics, Marketing Insights and our external media agency partners. This role will help us maximize our marketing impact by understanding and evaluating the performance of our cross-channel campaigns, and how best to track/optimize our ongoing spend.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional research skills across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, proven hands-on experience as media practitioner and planner, deep expertise in media measurement for both traditional and digital channels, including programmatic, and a hunger to drive significant business impact/outcomes.
This role is based in Menlo Park, but travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
Partner with Communications Planning and our external Media Agency to define core media success metrics and KPIs by channel, and systematically understand how those metrics impact marketing and business objectives.
Build consistency in learning over time to inform ongoing media choices and best practices, and support creation of tracking dashboards that provide visibility into campaign performance.
Develop testing frameworks for off-platform digital and traditional channels that match the fidelity of measurement that can be achieved on Facebook.
Help refine/optimize audience and targeting strategy to improve efficiency.
Develop a rigorous approach to communicate media outcomes/ROI of our marketing spend.
Partner with Communications Planning and our external media agency to form strategic partnerships with key media platforms to develop more integrated measurement solutions and learning agendas.
Translate data insights into actions and recommendations.
Help push the industry forward through thought leadership and publication.
Interface directly with leaders, and defend decisions made around data.
Knowledge of methodology and attribution.
Experience with general media planning and buying and the relationship to media metrics, including knowledge of different approaches to data in the media marketplace.
Experience developing strategy and overall direction, and engaging in work at a tactical level.
Communication and presentation experience with proven track record of using data to influence executives and colleagues.
