Your Role

The Pursuits Manager will join a team of marketers working together to produce materials in support Gensler's business development efforts, including writing and designing proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral. The Pursuits Manager will lead the department logistics, including knowledge management, business development reporting, and CRM efforts for the office. The Pursuits Manager communicates the marketing department's efforts to office and regional leadership and ensures both project data and client relationship information is tracked and reported appropriately. The Pursuits Manager will also oversee the QA/QC system for marketing collateral.

Marketing at Gensler is a communications-based discipline that requires a passion for storytelling and impeccable organization and project management, as well as poise under deadline pressure. Each week the team creates a volume of qualifications and proposals, presentations, and other deliverables, across multiple platforms to drive engagement with target audiences and decision makers. The position requires an excellent communicator with Adobe InDesign and writing skills. All Gensler communicators are creative marketers, committed to internal client service. What You Will Do

  • Partner with office directors, regional communications director, studio directors, and BD leaders on strategic marketing planning and execution.

  • Work with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral

  • Lead knowledge management, BD reporting, and CRM efforts for the office

  • Seek out and implement process and content improvements; coach peers on new ideas and ways of working

  • Oversee and lead development and execution of proposal responses, qualifications, and presentations, including QA/QC

  • Clear and constant communication with BD leaders, including weekly BD meetings/reporting with senior staff

  • Research internal relationships, company history, and market position for target clients and pursuits

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing

  • 7+ years of professional experience in a marketing role, preferably for an architecture, design, engineering, construction, or industry-related firm

  • Strong graphic design sensibility

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage simultaneous deadlines and diverse project teams.

  • Experience strategically partnering and supporting senior staff on business-critical projects.

  • Self-motivator with strong organizational and intra-personal skills; a great collaborator.

  • Fluent in InDesign and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Photoshop, other Adobe Creative Suite software, and/or Salesforce is a plus.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and working in conjunction with the Senior Interactive Designer and Developer, this position will help drive Emmanuel's web presence through the public website, blogs, search engine optimization and mobile consumption. Additionally, this position will work with the College's content management system (CMS), assist colleagues in the use of CMS tools to enhance functionality and efficiency, help analyze the effectiveness of online communications and facilitates the posting of online written content, imagery and rich media. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling www.emmanuel.edu and other sub sites through the development of engaging, intuitive and user-friendly web content that creates awareness for College programs and offerings. * Manages CMS user workflow and provides training support to internal content managers charged with maintaining their respective web pages; serving as primary resource for ongoing CMS learning, guidance and help. * Leverages tools to ensure ongoing and overall health of College's digital platforms * Conduct keyword research and conceptualize, draft, execute and maintain SEO-friendly website content that is also optimized for conversion. * Manage site reporting needs, compiling and reporting on key site usage metrics. Ability to use web analytics data to recommend improvement actions on the basis of those metrics. * Ensure adherence to and consistency of site architecture, brand guidelines and ADA compliance best practices. * Experience taking active ownership and accountability for all assigned projects through final delivery. * Must be self-motivated, work independently or as part of a team, able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate problem-solving skills. * Participate in planning and development projects. * Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with five or more years of related experience. Thorough understanding of various content management systems (including working knowledge of Wordpress Administration), HTML and ADA compliancy best practices. Experience with CSS, content wire framing, navigation, visual design, testing/validation, Photoshop, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO tools. Understanding of web accessibility requirements, current strategies, and best practices in the web space including mobile consumption, email, search engine optimization (SEO) and other web tools. Understanding of Javascript appreciated as is possessing an overall willingness to learn new technology. Previous higher education experience and/or strong interest in higher education and academics.
