The Pursuits Manager will join a team of marketers working together to produce materials in support Gensler's business development efforts, including writing and designing proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral. The Pursuits Manager will lead the department logistics, including knowledge management, business development reporting, and CRM efforts for the office. The Pursuits Manager communicates the marketing department's efforts to office and regional leadership and ensures both project data and client relationship information is tracked and reported appropriately. The Pursuits Manager will also oversee the QA/QC system for marketing collateral.
Marketing at Gensler is a communications-based discipline that requires a passion for storytelling and impeccable organization and project management, as well as poise under deadline pressure. Each week the team creates a volume of qualifications and proposals, presentations, and other deliverables, across multiple platforms to drive engagement with target audiences and decision makers. The position requires an excellent communicator with Adobe InDesign and writing skills. All Gensler communicators are creative marketers, committed to internal client service. What You Will Do
Partner with office directors, regional communications director, studio directors, and BD leaders on strategic marketing planning and execution.
Work with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral
Lead knowledge management, BD reporting, and CRM efforts for the office
Seek out and implement process and content improvements; coach peers on new ideas and ways of working
Oversee and lead development and execution of proposal responses, qualifications, and presentations, including QA/QC
Clear and constant communication with BD leaders, including weekly BD meetings/reporting with senior staff
Research internal relationships, company history, and market position for target clients and pursuits
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing
7+ years of professional experience in a marketing role, preferably for an architecture, design, engineering, construction, or industry-related firm
Strong graphic design sensibility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage simultaneous deadlines and diverse project teams.
Experience strategically partnering and supporting senior staff on business-critical projects.
Self-motivator with strong organizational and intra-personal skills; a great collaborator.
Fluent in InDesign and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Photoshop, other Adobe Creative Suite software, and/or Salesforce is a plus.
