The Position:
This position is essential in achieving customer engagement at scale as Pega advances Account Based Marketing principles in our regional markets. Through superior planning, and program/project management techniques this position creates world-class customer engagement experiences with high quality, on-time and under budget. The role works with the Agency@Pega shared services teams, regional marketing teams, external vendors, internal channel experts and content producers to drive customer engagement at scale.

In this role, you will:

  • Project manage; build trust with stakeholders; and create high quality programs that increase engagement and optimize cost through methodical planning, execution, and post-program retrospectives

  • Manage budgets and financial reporting for program execution, including sponsorships where appropriate

  • Serve as the single point of contact between Agency@Pega shared services teams, external vendors, and program owners

  • Ensure compliance and integrity in all activities and ensure programs are compliant with brand Pega identity at all times

  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers across the marketing and sales organization to share best practices and lessons learned

  • Analyze data to identify opportunities and lead change to achieve higher levels of engagement and customer experience at lower cost

  • Support the maturity of account-based marketing and content marketing

The Person:
You love seeing a plan come together to make something big happen. With experience in a corporate marketing or agency environment, you know what it takes to turn an inspiring brief into a thorough and rigorous plan and then drive it to get results. You are comfortable navigating relationships across internal and external stakeholders; you have an instinct to identify risks and reach compromises to resolve them; and, youre not afraid to go deep in the details to do so. Your strong client service orientation and instinct to do the right thing in unfamiliar situations is balanced with a passion for operational excellence through creative problem solving and standard work.

Qualifications include:

  • 3+ years-experience project managing complex events and digital programs

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management, work prioritization, leadership, facilitation and relationship building skills

  • Experience developing and managing a project budget

  • A track record of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and delivery organizations to meet project goals with proactive risk identification and mitigation skills

  • Strong client service orientation and instinct to do the right thing in unfamiliar situations

  • Passion for operational excellence through creative problem solving and standard work

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or management of information systems

  • Experience with Marketing Agency service delivery model

  • Tableau and project management software experience a plus

Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kan Ban, Lean/Six Sigma principles

VIEW JOBS 12/5/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-05T00:00 Overview Reporting to the Marketing/Facilities Category Manager, Sourcing Specialist will support Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Diversity, and Supplier Relationships of approximately $60-80M in purchased goods and services within the following categories: Marketing and Facility Services, as well as the governance of the procurement process. This is a newly created role as a part of a strategic initiative by the company to scale its Global Procurement function and will have significant support & visibility of the Executive leadership. This position will interact closely with senior leaders of the company in the development and implementation of strategic sourcing for identified categories. Successful candidates will be able to execute Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, Benefit Tracking, Contract Management and Internal Stakeholder Management activities delivering total cost of ownership savings and procurement process improvements for an assigned set of categories. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a talented team in a growing, innovative technology company. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Support Category Manager in the development and implementation of Category Strategy in line with the established overall Procurement Strategy. * Coordinate and execute strategic sourcing activities in line with the category strategy * Manage the pipeline of sourcing requests * Review sourcing & procurement requests and enforce global & category specific policy adherence * Execute Spot Buying * Facilitate the Procure to Pay process, analytics, research, and administrative functions of the procurement organization: * Develop market intelligence needed for effective sourcing * Support and coordinate reporting and analytics – spend, benefit/cost savings, KPI/metrics, etc. * Maintain master data * Support management and compliance management About the team The Global Procurement team will define category management and sourcing strategies as well as oversee and negotiate new and existing supplier contracts on behalf of Akamai. Team works collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify continuous cost and performance improvement strategies. Team ensures Akamai is compliant with best practices and existing business policies and procedures. Required Education and Experience * Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements: * 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree Desired skills * Experience working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify continuous cost and performance improvement strategies. * Experience in the areas of: marketing communications and strategy, commercial brand and sales team agents, media (agencies, auditors, campaigns, content, etc.) and facility services (managed services) * Experience negotiating, initiating and terminating contracts with regards to category.
