This position is responsible for applying appropriate knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to content marketing project activities within a cross-functional environment. This position will support campaigns through project management, support search and SEO efforts, as well as optimization efforts, and production traffic control. Production control activities include, but are not limited to, establishing clear and achievable objectives, planning and negotiating resources to reach goals, manage the flow of work among partners, and adapting to different concerns/expectations of stakeholders. A qualified content production specialist should be able to manage a project without extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Utilizes project management skills to effectively control the traffic of content production based on business needs vs. resource availability.
Consults with business partners to translate project needs into a manageable form and plan.
Supports team's search and SEO efforts, with understanding of leveraging content in library and what is being created.
Develops and manages an editorial content calendar that is regularly communicated to team.
Ability to consistently cite and utilize metrics to continually adapt and evolve campaign assets, both online and other for constant optimization.
Fluent with initiating, planning, and communicating consistent A/B testing efforts to maximize ROI on created assets and need to retire others.
Works with team to integrate audience analytics to better the impact of content assets.
Monitors age, life expectancy, and reevaluation of content pieces
Works closely with the Content Manager to understand strategy and production leads to keep track of resource capacity.
Proactively identifies barriers and resolves issues, determining contingency plans (executing as needed), while mitigating risk. Escalates issues to appropriate audiences for awareness and/or additional support.
May perform other duties as assigned.
College degree required with 3+ years of marketing experience and project management
Strong organizational skills and experience with content creation preferred
Ability to work alone or with partners across multiple teams within the organization
Some systems experience with an emphasis on online tools and applications, experience with content management systems
Knowledge of SEO, campaign targeting, social campaigning, data metrics, and ROI necessary
Knowledge of web development, digital marketing, content creation and distribution
Effectively uses technical project management tools/experience with managing multiple content calendars.
Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment.
Exceptional ability to negotiate effectively with business partners and content creators
Excellent listening, partnering and communications skills to articulate difficult ideas and concepts through clear verbal or written direction
Experience with identifying, navigating, and solving process problems before they mature
High level of initiative and drive for results
