KPMG is currently seeking a Marketing Operations Manager in Customer & Operations for our Management Consulting practice.


  • Oversee ongoing customer relationships for our key account focused on delivering marketing operation solutions around marketing spend management, workflow, and digital asset management

  • Lead client engagements and work streams related to marketing process optimization and technology enablement needed to support client marketing transformation efforts

  • Identify key operating model improvements across clients marketing organization, process, and technology for client success and contribute to creating a successful client marketing operations roadmap to drive for ongoing opportunities for transformation

  • Provide oversight of highly skilled client and KPMG work teams throughout the project lifecycle and help ensure timely execution of project deliverables

  • Provide input into engagement decisions including work plan and timeline, project management, resource allocation and career development of staff members


  • A minimum of five years of management consulting experience with marketing transformation efforts around marketing process design and execution with a minimum of three years of experience leading teams; management consulting experience is required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college/university

  • Hands-on experience using the following marketing operations technologies such Aprimo, Workfront, Allocadia

  • Extensive background in driving marketing efficiencies through marketing technologies including data integration strategy with clients

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills

  • Travel may be up to 80 -100%

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

As the Marketing Operations manager, you will be building and optimizing the stack that is the backbone of the marketing department and organization. You'll ensure marketing data is being properly collected and connected with other systems and that reporting is accurate and actionable. You will be the force behind major decisions made at the company. Technology. Spearhead the evaluation, implementation, and management of marketing technology systems -- automation, attribution, analytics and other solutions used by the marketing team to do their jobs effectively. You're not afraid to get your hands dirty in various corners of MarTech; you've probably coded some of your own analytics, improved site speed through various tactics, and started wondering about how AI is going to change our field. Alignment. Work with Product Marketing Managers, Sales, and Product teams to ensure tools are not just in place, but meeting and beating expected results. Manage user training on the tools and processes to maximize usage and return on investment in marketing ops. Your qualifications * Experience: 6 years industry experience or proven marketing achievements in a related industry. At least two years running as the same manager of marketing operations position within a corporation. * Knowledge: Strong understanding of product positioning, promotion, and return on marketing investment are necessary. * Skills: Strengths in analytical thinking, results orientation, business savvy, problem solving and negotiating. * Communication: You'll be sharing results company-wide and influencing the direction of the company. * Attention to detail: You know how bad data or misguided reporting can affect direction and take great care in everything you communicate out. * Technology: Proven expertise with Salesforce and marketing automation tools * Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field. * Location. 100% onsite in either Madison, WI or Chicago, IL.
