Marketing Operations Manager

Canvas is a platform offering financial advisors an unprecedented level of control and ease in creating and managing client portfolios in separately managed accounts (SMAs). Advisors can set up custom investment templates, access factor investing strategies, utilize passive strategies, actively manage taxes, and apply ESG investing and SRI screens according to the specific needs, preferences, and objectives of individual clients.

O'Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM) is seeking an experienced leader to further scale its high growth Custom Indexing platform, Canvas. The Marketing Operations Manager will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and managing process to build scale and drive efficiencies for the marketing and business development teams. This position will work collaboratively with business development, product, operations, technology, and performance, and requires strong knowledge in process implementation and project management expertise to assist in the development of industry-leading marketing programs.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Marketing Operations Manager?

  • Design, implement, and manage marketing systems and processes that drive high volume, high velocity output with quality control.

  • Create and deploy process to collect, manage, and prioritize requests inclusive of time tracking awareness to ensure output and resource allocation is in line with strategic priorities.

  • Architect resource and slide libraries with systematized update and review cadences for seamless creation of client-specific materials.

  • Work closely with product marketers, creative services, and compliance to adhere to timelines, brand guidelines, and process.

  • Develop SLAs to manage expectations and deliver exceptional service to the business.

  • Provide regular internal stakeholder updates.

  • Work collaboratively with team leaders to address and resolve operational concerns.

  • Remain current with industry evolution, competitive landscape, and compliance and regulatory rules.

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

Measures of Success:

The primary measure of success is showing an ability to establish process, drive adoption, and propel the business forward through improved quality control and reduced manual and ad-hoc processes.

Key Skill Sets:

  • Excellent communicator with an ability to manage "up and down" and maintain culture of accountability

  • Expertise in project management and systems architecture

  • Strong track record in solving problems to unlock increased productivity and growth

  • Adaptable and comfortable prioritizing work with competing interests

  • Creative instincts with desire to try new things inclusive of new technologies

  • Growth and quantitatively driven

  • Ability to work quickly and work on multiple initiatives in parallel

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • 5+ years' experience in project management, marketing, or similar field. Educational and professional designations a plus.

  • Deep understanding of financial markets, vehicles, and industry.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and industry rules, guidelines, and standards (SEC, FINRA, GIPSÒ).

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications and additive experience with other project management programs.

Location:

Hybrid work schedule out of Stamford, CT or New York City for proximity to OSAM headquarters/office locations.

Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary-designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $115,000 - 135,000.
