Job Responsibilities:

  • Executes strategies and tactics to achieve brand goals at both the national and regional level

  • Identify and analyze competition as well as research new target markets to elevate impact of marketing solutions.

  • Manages materials, projects, and resources through co-creation with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

  • Contributes to the development of short-term and mid-term (3yr) nPVU marketing strategic plan

  • Present to small (strategic or tactical reviews) and large group (national sales meetings) settings

  • Evaluates current marketing strategy and tactical effectiveness, recommending change as required

  • Reviews and collaborates to develop measurement plans to pinpoint effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics on brand equity metrics

  • Serves as point of contact for external agencies and consultants for strategic and tactical implementation

  • Manages the budget for key initiatives including monthly financial review and analysis of marketing expenses and fiscal housekeeping (purchase requisitions, invoice approvals, etc.) on all expenses

  • Implements and manages all contracts as they relate to specific tactics

  • High degree of latitude. Direct spending across many departments to support the brand.

Education Requirements:

  • 4-year degree required, preferably in marketing and/or the biological sciences; M.B.A. is a plus


  • Minimum 2 years pharmaceutical product management experience

  • Minimum 5 years of pharma experience

  • Experience with product launches

  • Neurology (epilepsy) experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration with internal partners and external vendor teams to develop strategies that meet business goals within budget and guidelines

  • Brand planning experience preferred

  • Proven ability to work independently and under time sensitive deadlines

  • Proven leadership abilities with cross-functional teams

  • Proficient understanding and execution of pharmaceutical forecasting and market research techniques

  • Experience communicating (oral, written and presentation) with multiple stakeholders

  • Proficient in presenting to large or small group settings

  • Proficient in pharma forecasting and market research techniques

  • Experience managing budgets with AORs, vendors and projects

  • Understanding of the managed markets environment and changing ecosystem

  • Ability to evaluate current marketing strategy and effective in tactical execution

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.

The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for implementing the project management processes for the Marketing department and managing marketing projects in support of the company's strategic priorities including campaigns and programs for both internal and external communications. They are responsible for understanding the needs of each project, prioritizing delivery dates, effectively communicating during each phase, aligning strategy and execution resources to ensure individual marketing tactics are aligned and coordinated, scheduling post mortems, reviewing data and analytics and coordinating the necessary tasks to other team members to successfully complete the project on time.
