Job Summary

The Marketing Manager of Social Media is responsible for planning, management, coordination, and execution across the Lulus brand social media channels. This role will strategize and execute growth campaigns to build reach and followership of all current and future social channels. This position requires an individual with a passion for social media who is up-to-date on the most recent industry changes and trends. The Marketing Manager, Social Media is a great communicator, writer, and project manager, ensuring the integrity of the Lulus brand voice across platforms. The position must monitor and report on the health of the Lulus social presence and strive for high growth targets.

This person's work will interface with many teams, including but not limited to the marketing, creative, and merchandising teams. This person will ensure digital messaging and creative assets serve strategic goals and are distributed across digital and social channels.

This role is a hybrid role and is required to be in the office on Tuesdays through Thursdays.

What You'll Do

  • Own Lulus' social media calendar across all platforms
  • Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest (or more, if something relevant arises!) - liaising with cross-functioning teams across other marketing verticals (ex. email) to ensure brand consistency
  • Create campaigns and initiatives targeted at increased audience, engagement, traffic, and sales. Must create and adapt content for each specific network and audience

  • Develop concepts that support brand awareness and sales initiatives to target and communicate seasonal campaigns through social media

  • Adjust the calendar due to weekly read-and-react business shifts for social to work hard for the business

  • Identify real-time cultural trends and content opportunities to achieve constant relevance

  • Partner with the performance marketing team to develop a paid support plan for social channels to fuel growth and engagement, creating buzz-worthy activations and executions

  • Report daily social KPIs

  • Craft weekly and monthly analytics reports with clear, data-driven recommendations to optimize ongoing social performance and contribute to business lift

  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports on social media growth and engagement

  • Maintain contest reporting and wrap reports for accurate contest planning

  • Conduct daily social media listening across platforms to identify:

  • Emerging Lulus product trends

  • UGC to repurpose

  • Develop strategic creator briefs, with direction based on content insights and trends, to share with the Influencer team

  • Utilize social creative best practices to partner with our creative team on shot list direction

  • Create content when applicable

  • Attend shoots as needed

  • Manages social team to ensure prompt, positive, on-brand, and professional customer communications across all social channels to answer any product/ order questions, service issues, etc. Foster community and engagement

  • Guide and manage the Social Media Coordinator, in particular, to ensure seamless execution of:

  • Weekly and monthly social reporting and analytics, including clear insights and actionable next steps

  • Brand voice and tone throughout the social copy

  • Some travel may be required

What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing

  • 4+ years experience in social media management with strong growth results

  • Experience leading a team, this person must foster positivity, teamwork, and clear goal expectations

  • Strong proficiency in social media technology, channels, best practices, and strategy across multiple social media communities (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest)

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and work across multiple projects

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to capture brand voice and execute uniquely across multiple platforms

  • Stay up to date with current celebrity, pop culture, and fashion news and entertainment stories

  • Creative eye for elevated design, trends, style, and color

  • Proactive and growth mindset when planning for optimal results

  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and the leadership team at all times

  • Experience working with design and copy teams

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally

  • Proficient in social media tools like Curalate, Sprout, Sprinklr, or similar
