Who you are:

You're a bright and self-motivated marketing professional with excellent communication and collaboration skills who will play a critical role in driving the success of Dataminr's Public Sector business.

Your primary responsibility involves utilizing events (proprietary and third party) as a strategic lever for key account acquisition, retention, and expansion. In addition to strategic event management, you possess strong collaboration skills and will work closely with sales and product teams to support our content development and execution for our fast growing Public Sector vertical.

  • Leverage events as a strategic tool for driving business objectives against key accounts

  • Identify, coordinate, execute, and track / measure critical third-party and proprietary events globally including, but not limited to:

  • Selecting relevant events

  • Negotiating contracts

Managing vendors and event staff

  • Spearheading client communications and meetings

  • Working on Sales participation/process

  • Preparing booth materials including on site visual presence, collateral and giveaways

  • Creating event campaigns on Salesforce and input leads into marketing CRM

  • Reporting on results

  • Utilize superior project management skills to ensure seamless execution before, during, and after critical third-party and proprietary events

  • Drive metrics and measurement

  • Audit calendar of currently-planned events against strategic criteria to determine audience fit; identify potential new event opportunities against strategic criteria and vertical marketing plans to ensure Dataminr is present at the right conferences in the right locations

  • Work closely with the Director to create, update and maintain related sales assets such as decks, case studies, website content, and tutorial videos to drive client engagement

  • Act as primary marketing content development contact for the Public Sector sales team

  • Attend weekly sales and marketing meetings, providing updates and status reports when appropriate

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related role managing events for a B2B entity and/or event production agency experience

  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills, especially around time-sensitive activities on a global basis

  • Exceptional time management and problem solving skills

  • Strong writing, editing and communication skills

  • Experience bringing messaging to life in marketing communications

  • Agile and flexible with the ability to prioritize competing projects; Ability to maintain composure under pressure and juggle multiple and competing priorities

  • Experience working with Google productivity tools, including Docs, Spreadsheets, Gmail, and Calendar and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation Tools (Pardot and Salesforce specific experience a plus)

  • Understanding of best practices when working with brand guidelines

In this role, you will drive the marketing strategy and execution for Department of Defense Agencies (DoD) and Federal Systems Integrators (FSI) to create demand and awareness for Cloudera. Working closely with the Federal sales team, you will create and execute against the Public Sector Marketing Business Plan, to include, messaging, campaigns, webinars, partnerships and industry, and market best practices. Proven experience in various marketing techniques including online & traditional demand generation marketing is required. As part of a fast-growing company, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on its success. Attention to detail is crucial as well as the ability to manage and own projects from conception through follow-up. Responsibilities * Plan, manage and execute Government integrated marketing plans for DoD agencies and FSIs within budget and in collaboration with sales managers and leaders * Organize and execute selected sales and marketing events and support group programs * Research, recommend and drive targeted marketing plans to bring together corporate programs and regional opportunities * 'Federalize' the corporate marketing collateral for consumption by our prospective customers * Interface with the Corporate, Partner, and Product Marketing teams to ensure that all activities are synchronized with corporate objectives * Oversee and manage account, prospect and lead data in the CRM. Use the data to design effective marketing campaigns and to track their impact and efficiency * Forecast, evaluate, measure and report on marketing campaign effectiveness and ROI * Complete other duties as assigned to meet company goals KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of marketing to Government in a technology product organization or Federal Systems Integrator * Experience with account-based marketing techniques, specifically within the DoD and IC communities preferred. * A self-starter and the ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams * Demonstrated experience supporting a Government sales organization with enterprise software products and related services * Comfortable collaborating, advising and/or presenting ideas to senior level management * Affinity for details, project management, and an ability to prioritize independently and complete tasks on time * Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple programs simultaneously * Excellent planning, organization, time management skills * Experience in managing marketing budgets and multiple suppliers/vendors * Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills * Advanced computer literacy with expertise in Microsoft Office, GSuite and working knowledge of database and project management applications * Working experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, Pardot, Tableau a plus. * Availability to travel up to 25% of the time At Cloudera, our goal is to make each individual feel valued for his or her contributions to the company's mission.
