Job Summary

The Marketing Manager, PSF & Law reports to the VP of PSF/Law Marketing and will support the development of marketing messaging and strategies across PSF and Law audiences: Consulting Firms, Agencies, Market Research Firms, and Law Firms. This person will lead the execution of insight-driven plans and activities, working closely with the business units and centralized marketing team. This person will also be responsible for working closely with the marketing operations team, capturing marketing program KPIs, making mid-campaign metric-based adjustments as needed, and analyzing reports post-initiative.

Heavily focused on demand generation, the ideal candidate will bring a diverse array of analytical and creative skills to these business units. The ideal candidate will understand acquisition marketing, cross-sell, and retention marketing, and will have had experiences executing programs for various client lifecycle stages. The Marketing Manager will support the execution and evolution of content, technology and tactics needed to convert prospects and clients across the funnel - from programs to build awareness, to sales materials and case studies, to automated campaigns to stay top-of-mind. This role will heavily influence the strategy by collecting and presenting insights and building marketing business cases to be presented to leadership teams. The Manager will be both a great storyteller and adaptable to work on many different types of projects.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Support and execute against marketing strategies targeting Professional Services Firms and Law Firm clients

  • Use business goals to make the case for compelling new marketing initiatives for prospects and clients

  • Build content strategies across outbound channels to engage target customers

Primary duties include:

  • Manage the execution of initiatives, coordinating with numerous internal stakeholders within the marketing organization, as well as within the business units

  • Work with marketing operations to understand campaign and program metrics, reporting out on KPIs and recommending results-based improvements

  • Use GLG's brand guidelines and value proposition to position and message our offerings in the market

  • Partner with the product marketing team to create messaging and content that translates product positioning to the PSF/Law client base

  • Draw on qualitative and quantitative insights to understand client and prospect base. Use this info to make the case for specific marketing programs

  • Support the development of customer personas, partnering with the sales and account management teams

  • Manage content calendars with the brand marketing teams to feed engagement campaigns

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience, preferably with B2B or technology marketing expertise

  • Experience with Salesforce and a marketing automation platform (Marketo, preferred)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate across multiple levels, roles and functions

  • Comfortable working autonomously, and making decisions independently when required

  • Exceptional project management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and programs at once

  • Strong presentation skills; own your voice in meetings with senior team members communicate clearly with team members with sometimes different priorities

Who is my manager? Audience & Direct Marketing Director What are my accountabilities? * This position will be the key marketing partner to the Audience & Direct Marketing Director, developing and executing the marketing campaign strategy for our Technology conferences and events; * Develop and execute multi-channel campaign plans to drive awareness and sales of our event propositions including: email, digital media, social, print media, direct mail, telesales, partnerships etc.; * Work closely with the Audience Development team to develop identify targeted audiences and define strategies to engage them with the relevant event roll-outs and campaigns; * Work closely with a Brand and Product Marketing partner on all marketing/creative briefs, ensuring that the assets and messaging engages the target audience and drives response; * Identify and work with key marketing partners to deliver audiences for our events, including industry associations, membership organizations, media organizations, etc.; * Manage marketing budgets for all assigned conferences – monitoring the effectiveness of all activity and making timely adjustments to maximize ROI; * Develop sales enablement materials for the sales team, including playbooks, email templates, sales sheets, etc.; * Provide on-site event support for key events; * Develop and maintain clear dashboards/reports that summarize the performance of the marketing campaigns, across the pre-determined KPIs/metrics: * Share topline numbers weekly with the management team; * Measure and manage campaign costs, efficiencies and drive ROI; * Analyze and identify actions to drive improved performance; * Produce monthly reports, with optimization and recommendations, for the management team; * Produce post-event reporting. * Line management and career development of a Marketing Associate. What do you need from me? A self-starter with leadership qualities gained working and managing teams and/or strategy, you will be able to lead, inspire and deliver in a matrix environment. You'll have: * Bachelor's degree preferred; * 4-6+ years experience in a B2B or B2C marketing role.
