What You'll Do
In this role, you'll be the primary owner of SimpliSafe's paid search channel. You will be responsible for setting the strategy, driving optimizations, and reporting channel performance. Together, with a team of one direct report, you will manage all campaign executions in-house.
You will work cross-functionally to identify scalable opportunities and will rely on incrementality and A/B testing to incorporate testing wins into the ongoing campaigns. You will collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to forecast industry trends and competitive demand.
Primary responsibilities include:
Own the strategy and performance of our paid search channel, including non-brand, brand, paid shopping ads (PLAs), PMax campaigns
Collaborate with analytics to design incrementality tests to measure the impact of potential new partners/channels (such as YouTube, Discovery Ads, lead vendors, etc.)
Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual spend levels based on overall impressions share and estimated campaign efficiency
Be the voice of channel performance: using competitive bids, industry trends, and campaign optimizations to explain YoY KPI fluctuations and pacing
Manage and coach a direct report on day-to-day, hands on, campaign management and optimizations such as: bids, exclusions, keywords, copy, headlines, extensions, product feeds, and landing pages
Provide market wide search demand and competitive trend insights to the broader marketing team to guide strategy, performance, and partner negotiations (i.e. affiliate)
Foster strong relationships with new and existing vendors to understand industry trends, upcoming beta opportunities, platform best practices, and recommended optimizations
Work closely with internal creative and eCommerce teams to regularly execute A/B testing and provide copy, keyword, and landing page related insights
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree or higher; preferably in mathematics, economics or data analytics
4+ years of experience managing paid search and shopping ads (PLAs) within Google and Bing; additional Google experience such as managing PMax, Discovery, or YouTube campaigns is a plus
Ability to measure performance via incrementality studies; Strong analytical and mathematical skills are required
Experience designing, executing, and interpreting in-platform A/B tests
Demonstrated experience coaching others; past management experience is a plus
Strong communication and project organizational skills; ability to collaborate and lead projects that engage multiple departments
Familiarity and past partnership with click-fraud vendors is a plus
Experience setting programmatic strategy and optimizing campaigns is a plus; not required
