This highly visible role requires a talented marketing leader with strong business orientation, creative thinking, agility and bandwidth to work seamlessly across the Zarbee's organization. The Innovation Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development of our 3-5 year innovation plans including the identification and development of new products that effectively meet consumer needs across the Zarbee's Baby, Children and Adult segments.
With a deep understanding of consumer insights, need state innovation strategies, and pipeline objectives, the successful marketing candidate will support the development of innovation plans in line with Zarbee's Naturals and Self Care long term strategic plans. The role will oversee new product development from concept to launch, collaborating closely with the cross-functional product development team, including Consumer Insights, R&D, Operations, Finance, Sales, Design, and the Zarbee's Leadership Team.
This role will be based in the Greenwich, Connecticut office and will report to the Associate Director or Marketing, Innovation.
Specifically, the Innovation Marketing Manager will:
Help to shape the long-term strategy for the Zarbee's Naturals product portfolio
Support the identification of category and brand opportunities that expand the portfolio through consumer, trend, and competitive analysis.
Partner closely with consumer insights to create robust multi-faceted iterative learning plans to validate, assess and prepare products for commercialization in partnership with functional experts and cross-division partners.
Collaborate with the Zarbee's Naturals R&D, Claims, and Regulatory teams to create new product propositions based on trends, consumer need states, and technical capabilities.
Collaborate with the Zarbee's Naturals Design and Operations teams to define, create, and execute creative packaging structure and design. Includes briefing design, conducting packaging research, and complying with regulatory and legal guidelines.
Analyze and lead pricing decisions for new products in close partnership with sales and finance
Present new product roadmap and project updates to the Zarbee's Leadership Team.
Identify retailer launch strategy in close partnership with Sales and create compelling sales materials to ensure successful sell in.
BA/BS in Marketing or a related business field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience of progressive experience in setting a vision and executing in a similar integrated brand leadership role within a consumer-packaged goods organization, preferably with a breadth of functional and/or industry experience is required.
Marketing or innovation experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods healthcare environment is preferred. Experience with Natural products is a plus.
Demonstrated expertise and successful track record in leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment is required; Experience in successful partnership with key cross functional groups including R&D, BD, Finance, Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, etc.
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills are required. Ability to facilitate alignment across groups.
Demonstrated financial acumen in making effective business decisions is required.
Experience in providing marketing thought leadership-taking consumer insight and using it to drive thinking and good decisions is required.
Clear track record of achieving strong results and demonstrated leadership is required.
Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects and requirements is required.
Ability to analyze business/marketplace dynamics, mine insights, and develop innovative strategies that meet needs of healthcare professionals and consumers is required.
This position requires up to 20% domestic travel.
