MarketMuse is hiring a Marketing Manager to join the marketing team to develop our product marketing strategy with the goal of strengthening our brand and accelerating sales velocity. You will work with the product, design and marketing teams to create the product messaging, develop product announcement strategies, and provide sales with regular updates and training.

We are an early-stage startup that is growing very rapidly, so this is intended as a starting role with significant advancement opportunity.

Compensation is competitive and includes equity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing strategies for product launches, including social, press releases, media outreach, internal & client communications.

  • Test product language and positioning on the website and other channels.

  • Create collateral, case studies, product videos, and website copy to articulate the benefits of our products.

  • Follow and analyze market trends to influence product positioning.

  • Translate technical details into benefits for the user, working closely with the product team.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of B2B experience building and executing marketing campaigns from ideation to execution

  • Proven history of creating effective marketing programs

  • Excellent time management and project prioritization skills

  • Proficient with Pardot

  • Experience in SEO/search is helpful but not required

  • Thrives in a dynamic, agile startup environment

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field

  • Based in New York City

Professional, amateur, and emerging photographers, enthusiasts, cinematographers, students and educators from around the world attend PHOTOPLUS annually to experience the latest industry trends, interactive photo ops, education from world class photographers, and hands-on access to the latest gear from top brands. The Marketing Manager will create, plan, direct and execute the overall strategic and tactical marketing for all assets for PHOTOPLUS. Duties will also include social media strategy, attendee and exhibitor marketing campaigns, overseeing associated webpages, managing related budgets and expenses, selecting and supervising vendors/services, interfacing with major media partners and public relations and daily management of marketing and web staff. The best candidate for this position will be a strong planner with a high level of organization and multitasking skills. In addition, this detail-oriented person will have a strong ability to organize and prioritize workload, and a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. A creative sensibility and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential to success in this position. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop compelling brand tactics with clear positioning and messaging. Develop and manage timelines during planning and execution phases and ensure project milestones are met. * Develop overarching vision and strategy for marketing plan inclusive of all relevant marketing channels * Deep and timely analysis of marketing data, using marketing results and data to adapt and revise marketing strategy * Achieve year-over-year growth as determined by executive management in key business areas; attendance, participation, membership and revenue * Audience Development: Lead the planning, scheduling of all marketing campaigns across different channels, including list development and analysis, OOH marketing, media buys, email blasts, print and online ads, social media initiatives, telemarketing, website development and registration systems and other creative tools for recruiting exhibitors and customers. * Help define and execute social media strategy by growing engagement of current customers and acquiring new ones * Timely execution of all email and direct mailings to exhibitor and attendee prospects and current exhibitors * Oversee development of all printed and online marketing materials * Oversee development of each conference website and registration system including the app * Ensure website is up to date--make suggestions to improve traffic and click through rates, * Write and oversee writing of key marketing copy * Review marking analysis and internal data (surveys, etc.) and develop actionable recommendations based on data. * Work closely with in-house stakeholders and external vendors to perform the timely execution of all strategy plans. * Provide oversight and support for the show floor features * Manage marketing budgets and costs; process invoices and track payments * Develop, oversee, and manage partnership and barter arrangements * Improve systems to measure marketing effectiveness of different tactics and programs: continuously apply analytics to improve marketing efforts and optimize revenue * Ownership of website and website analytics REQUIREMENTS * BS /BA Degree in Marketing or Business preferred * 3 -5 years relevant work experience in marketing * Experience with email marketing * Experience with non-digital media buying * Proven success and prior experience OOH marketing * Excellent PC skills, including Excel and PowerPoint * Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator experience a plus, but not required * Ability to plan and manage a budget * Basic knowledge of web design including HTML and web design platforms a plus * Some travel to conferences and expos is required (up to 25%) Emerald Expositions New York City NY
