Job Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for implementing innovative marketing strategies, tools, and programs consistent with the retirement segment's marketing plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a member of the Marketing Management Team in the development and implementation of the marketing plan.

  • Work with the Marketing Management Team to develop and/or execute project plans for marketing plan deliverables (

  • Work with the Marketing Management Team, Product Management, Sales, and New Business to develop and implement innovative product marketing programs.

  • Work with the Marketing Management Team, Sales, Product Management, New Business, and Corporate Legal to develop and implement innovative concept-driven marketing materials, tools, and programs.

  • Work with the Marketing Management Team, Sales, Product Management, New Business, and Corporate Legal to develop and implement innovative marketing programs (e.g. - advisor marketing, lead generation, and business planning).

  • Work with the Marketing Management Team, Sales, Product Management, New Business, and Corporate Legal to develop and implement innovative channel specific marketing programs and support.

  • Work with marketing team and dvisional heads in the development of major channel specific events such as national accounts due diligence meeings, client advisory boards, etc. Assist in identifying meeting objectives, related agenda, content and presentation development. Coordinate meeting execution with Meetings and Conference Management.

  • Oversee and execute thought leadership initiatives, collaborating with internal and external marketing research resources and active intelligence teams.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Job Requirements:

  • At least four years retirement plan services- related experience.

  • Deep understanding of retirement plan industry.

  • Working understanding of the needs than drive sales in the advisor sold retirement plan space

  • Working understanding of plan sponsor and participant needs and JH product and service solutions.

  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel including senior management at John Hancock and advisor/client firms.

  • Ability to work independently, often facing conflicting and overlapping demands.

  • Solid writing and verbal skills.
