In close partnership with the City of Huntsville, tvg hospitality will be opening the groundbreaking Orion Amphitheater on the 7th of May 2022. Inspired by the grand open-air amphitheaters of Ancient Greece, this 8,000 person capacity destination will host an exciting lineup of world-class performers and is further supported by three stories of unique concessions ranging from the Madkin & Weeden tap rooms through Isadoras Wine Bar, El Cohete Taco & Tequila, and the dramatic sky bar with immense views of both the stage and the surrounding landscape.

ROLE: Marketing Manager - Lumberyard

REPORTS TO: General Manager of Lumberyard

POSITION: Full Time, Benefits Eligible


As Marketing Manager of the Lumberyard you will be a key member of the HVG team. You will work closely with the General Manager, Lumberyard and the Marketing Director, HVG to execute all marketing and communications activity. Operating closely with your colleagues across all departments, you will develop an in-depth understanding of the business and leverage the knowledge to effectively implement a multi-channel marketing strategy.


  • Implement, monitor and optimize the multichannel marketing strategy across Lumberyard zones, to include Meridian Arts Club and various F&B offerings.
  • Manage content on the venues websites and all digital platforms.
  • Lead the management of the venues press strategy, including briefing, fulfilling requests and bookings.
  • Execution of individual marketing initiatives and campaigns, including collateral production, liaison with suppliers, liaison with PR and implementation of activations.
  • Lead on social media content creation, scheduling reporting and analysis.
  • Review and ensure all external communication, websites, 3rd party online & collateral is up to date, relevant and delivered on time.
  • Timely reporting & measurement of brand marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure all marketing materials are up to date, and reflective of the business in terms of quality and accuracy; for both online and physical media.
  • Lead weekly marketing meetings with onsite and market team, updating on marketing initiatives, activity and results.
  • Review the customer journey and ensure UX is optimized for conversion - for reservations, private and corporate sales, group inquiries, and email opt ins.
  • Generate post-campaign reports and track against KPIs.
  • Research trends, predictions and conduct competitor analysis.
  • Assist the marketing team with any group brand initiatives.
  • Generate ticketing and social media links for external promoter use.


  • The candidate should have at least 5 years experience in the venue, hospitality or festival marketing industries.
  • The ideal candidate will be decisive and persuasive however not an ego driven individual.
  • The person will need to lead by example, be a measured thinker and have first-rate analytical skills.
  • This role requires a deep knowledge of digital marketing platforms including email, social and paid media strategy, analytics, and a proven track record in patron and customer service communications.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent writing and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with local, regional and national audiences, stakeholders and media companies.
  • They will be a respected leader who can positively contribute to the culture and inspire performance by their colleagues.
  • The candidate will have a strong ability to be detail-oriented, flexible, and handle complex issues w/ minimal supervision including the skills to prioritize, multi-task and focus under stressful and demanding situations.
  • An amiable personality, sense of humor and passion for music is the right fit.
  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the marketing field.
  • Proven track record of cross-platform marketing and campaign-driven execution.
  • Entrepreneurial, creative and ROI-focused mindset.
  • Organized, prioritized and structured approach to project management.
  • Wordpress and Asana skills are preferable.
  • Google Drive, Excel and Powerpoint or Keynote capability is essential.
  • Hospitality and/or entertainment experience preferred.
