Avant Gardner is looking for a Marketing Manager with proven ability in planning and executing end-to-end campaigns, encompassing the full marketing mix.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Marketing Managers develop strategy and spearhead the execution of marketing campaigns for multiple shows/live events, utilizing the full marketing mix in order to meet objectives. Candidates will have a proven track record working in a fast-paced environment, combining customer insights and market knowledge with expert understanding of media and marketing tactics to create engaging, effective campaigns.

Marketing Campaign Management

  • Lead and manage campaigns from ideation to execution, thinking and acting innovatively in building awareness, driving consideration and generating conversions; responsible for all channels (paid social and display, email, web, OOH, partnerships, on-site), segmentation, creative/content and messaging.
  • Evaluate results, and optimize to meet campaign goals
  • Own the marketing budget for each assigned show/campaign
  • Ensure the accuracy of all communications

Strategy and Content

  • Build target segmentation, personas, and insights, as well as value propositions/message strategy
  • Develop winning comms plans in collaboration with the Paid Media team
  • Develop creative ad and content concepts, as well as executions for all platforms

Partner Management

  • Collaborate on campaign strategy and implementation with artist management, record labels, and tour directors
  • Identify, secure, and manage partners, sub-promoters, media outlets, and additional resources to further event promotion

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing, PR and/or paid media planning/buying, with a strong understanding of integrated digital & social marketing, target segmentation, paid media buying/management/optimization, video, and display
  • Deep experience with live music marketing, including knowledge of electronic music genres and audiences
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Paid media/ad manager platforms, CRM platforms, and project management tools
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication ability
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential
  • A strong understanding of integrated digital & social marketing, target segmentation, paid media buying/management/optimization, video and display
  • Marketing or related degrees are preferred

The brand’s success stems from its unique combination of “A-List-meets-underground” programming, innovative venue design and state-of-the-art production capabilities.</p><p><strong>THE ROLE</strong></p><p>The<strong> Part-Time Production Manager</strong> is responsible for advancing and directing the technical aspects of events at Avant Gardner. Through communication with clients, vendors, and other departments, the Production Manager gathers all relevant show information and disseminates details as they move through the advancing process, while also providing input on event staffing and budgeting. The Production Manager ensures that client expectations are met and the standards of the production department are upheld for each event, from initial booking up until the doors are closed.<br></p><p>Candidates should thrive in a team environment and have the ability to effectively delegate tasks throughout a complex organization. This position requires exceptional communication skills when addressing technical and creative topics, and necessitates strong decision making and leadership, particularly in stressful situations. Candidates should employ innovative strategies as well as industry standards and procedures to endlessly improve production at Avant Gardner.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></p><ul><li>Reports to the Director of Production</li><li>Coordinates with Director of Production and Programming to discern initial event scope and kick off production advancing</li><li>Works with artist team to advance production</li><li>Develops and fosters relationships with clients, artists, tour crew, and other important personnel to ensure streamlined communication and successful execution of each event</li><li>Meets regularly with production team members and other departments to provide updates on events and discuss team performance and progress</li><li>Provides input into the creative and technical execution of staging, audio, video, lighting, and logistics for each event</li><li>Ensures all staff and equipment are properly scheduled or secured from outside sources</li><li>Conducts employee interviews alongside other managers and give input on hiring decisions</li><li>Gathers all pertinent event info, production schedules, and riders into organized documents and distribute to team members with ample time before show calls</li><li>Oversees the load in and load out of shows from artists, vendors, and all that apply</li><li>Ensures all production issues that arise during ROS timeline are solved, including equipment issues, changes to stage layouts, inclement weather, etc.</li><li>Manages production assistants, stagehands, and technical staff throughout the event and provide feedback and conflict resolution, as needed</li><li>Provide end-of-shift reports detailing event proceedings and any information that will contribute to the procedures, processes, and overall performance of the production team</li><li>Determines billback and accounting information after a show has concluded</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years relevant experience</li><li>Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and use proactive problem solving</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive</li><li>Substantial experience with audio/lighting systems, backline equipment, projection technologies, streaming media technologies, staging, rigging, and power requirements</li><li>Ability to make clear, concise decisions, sometimes with limited information</li><li>Ability to interact respectfully, collegially, and professionally with all employees and contractors at all levels of responsibility</li><li>Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and possible holidays</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>CAD/Vectorworks experience</li><li>Substantial experience with audio/lighting systems, backline equipment, projection technologies, streaming media technologies, staging, rigging, and power requirements</li><li>College degree</li><li>Driver License</li><li>Certifications in various safety and training courses</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Must be willing to work long hours, including overnight shifts</li><li>Must be willing to work outdoors (all seasons)</li><li>Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 50 pounds</li><li>Must be able to work on your feet as well as stationary for 12 hours or more during events</li><li>Must be comfortable working in an environment with moderate to loud noise level</li></ul> Avant Gardner Brooklyn NY
