The Digital Marketing Manager will help select, manage and develop online media suppliers and establish lead generation strategies for Walden University. The ideal candidate will have experience in media buying, campaign management, and creative direction. They will be responsible for researching, making strategic recommendations on, implementing and optimizing campaigns in pursuit of high quality leads in support of business goals.
This person will be expected to have a strong interest in understanding the display advertising market and acquire an intimate knowledge of the competitive landscape. Timeliness, attention to detail, analytics, and accuracy are critical to this position. This proactive individual must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to focus on both short-term objectives and long term growth opportunities in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Applicant should be a forward thinker who is passionate about digital marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recommend and develop effective display media strategies for securing high quality prospective student leads in the digital space.
Be able to direct vendor and in-house teams in creation and implementation of effective lead generation campaigns that meet key performance indicators.
Ensure proper delivery of campaigns from inception, creative development, rate negotiation, through reporting and results measurement.
Ensure lead generation strategies integrate with university, college and/or program specific marketing plans.
Provide insight and analysis to determine lead quality and ROI from various digital marketing campaigns
Be familiar and comfortable with reviewing analytics, including path analysis (experience with Omniture and/or Google Analytics a plus), to assess audience quality and inform customer experience
Manage the budget/insertion order/invoicing process with suppliers in accordance with monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
5+ years of experience in the Digital Marketing space
Critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis skills
Advanced skill in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with multiple departments
Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Direct response experience and prior work in the education industry are a plus
